Hi TallGirl
Interesting to read about your foray into Matched Betting! :T It's one thing that I've meant to do for a long time.
I've got my head around the concept of betting and laying but I'm still daunted by the concept of finding matching odds etc! I'm watching your progress with interest!
Also - Moneybackmadness - I'm finding it so tedious reaching the £35 payout. Can I ask what has tracked and/or validated for you? I'm considering the King Jackpot offer but don't want to end up £10 down if it doesn't track or validate! What offers would you recommend?
PS: Good luck and keep up the good work!0 -

I am glad you are getting your head around it and yes finding the odds are the tricky things. There are sites that will compare odds so that helps but it is just about looking. To start with you try to place a bit with your own money to loose as little as possible to realease a free bet. So I bet on Liverpool to beat Havant and Waterlooville. That was 1.01 & 1.07 on Betfair so lost pennies.
Then with your free bet if you get your original stake returned just get that type of odds and you get nearly the whole bet paid out. However if the stake is not returned you need odds of 7 or over. If you play with the matcher spreadsheet it does become clearer. Ideally you want your lay bet odds lower than your back but I have yet to find that. The nearest I got was 7.22/7.22 and that was on trying to predict the correct score.
On the MoneyBackMadness things I totally agree with you. I am on £31 and used them to get a Eurobet Account. It would not let me deposit so had to call Customer Services. It has not tracked on MoneyBack so still need to find something else. With regards to King.com it is a really rubish site. It only pays £3 now I think it was £6 when I signed up. It is showing as £12.50 for me but nothing is confirmed yet. My DH did EGG he got £10 but it took a while to track. If I come across any other nice ones I will post them here.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Thought I would also update you on yesterdays MB.
I was trying to get more bets on the Bgbet basket thing but when I found a great one on the Aston Villa game it would only let me bet £4.15. I am now £43 down so need to place a £75 & £25 bet as my last two to get the full £25 free bet. Reading on the MB thread some are giving up so I might leave it for a while.
I was so pleased I had found the close odds on Aston Villa that I placed a £26 bet on Eurobet. Then I layed it at Betfair and it "lost" so the money when into my Betfair account. I should get a free £20 bet with Eurobet but as I had problems depositing I am not sure if I will get it. I have emailed customer services but they are taking a while to get back to me.
So made about a £2 loss yesterday in my attempt to get nearer to the free bets but I still have a free £25 at Bgbet. Profit stands at £114.90 in the last 10 days.
Today I got a mystery shopping job and I need to take a client out for lunch. Not bad really and oh I must get to the gym tonight.
Edit: just noticed another £12.16 has been added to my freebets in BgBet. No idea what that is about have asked on the MB Board.Save £12k in 25 No 49

A.Username you are right it is addictive but in a good way not like gambling.
Looking at a few bets this morning and got one at 2.20/2.24 so quite close unfortunately Bgbet would only let me put £4.15 on so now I am even further behind with my BGbet basket. Reading the MB thread appartently you just place a big bet in the end to get it. Also if they start to limit you it is better to leave them alone for a few weeks. I have 90 days to complete the challenge.
A better thing to do at BG Bet would be to ring up when you find a good match. They let me have a lot more on over the phone. Some people are worried about ringing up but its easy enough.Eurobet still hasn't come back to me if I qualify for the free £20 bet. I have read the T&C and you need to wager your deposit before it is released so I have £50 to go now.
IIRC you do get the bonus after your initial deposit. Another little tip is to find a good match at low odds and put as much as you can on (ideally the whole £100). You get the bonus credited very quickly so just shove it on the same result. Job done0 -
Good news about Eurobet not only have I managed to find a nice bet to place for my last £50 it released the £20 free bet. I placed that on the same outcome just as A.Username suggested. Great once it is settled I can take the money out and wait for reload offers.
Also looked at my MoneyBackMadness Account and the £5 for Eurobet has tracked so I now have £36 in the account. Now I just need to find another £10 for DH and I get his referral money. Don't think I will continue after that Highstreet.com is now down to 2p.
Did my mystery shop yesterday that is 2 this week £21 better off - nice.
Well that was the good news BGbet still annoys me. Wanted to use my free bet found a lovely one at 17/16 to use my free bet on. However it would not let me place it (was only for £18) and the odds dropped to 14 after that. Found 1 more tried to place £6, again it asked me to call up which I decided to do. Spoke to them and the odds dropped to 13 - maybe I am just unlucky. Will start on a new bookie at the weekend now Eurobet is completed.
Away until Thursday now so no more betting until then. Not made a decision on the bathrooms yet think we are going to talk to the shop and make sure if know what the quote includes.
Did anyone watch Panorama last night? All those BuytoLet investors who had had their deposits paid. Two of them sounded South African and I really could not understand the woman who had bought several properties on Nottingham without seeing them. Some people. I do think houseprices have gone silly in my road several of the houses are the same so you can track it on the net quite easily. However one of them is trying to ask for £50k more than two doors away sold for 1 year ago.
Well enough waffle from me better do some work before I have to leave.Save £12k in 25 No 49

It didn't track on Quidco because I had already done Gala so took a chance and it tracked on MBM but I suspose it may still not pay out. Coral and Eurobet are definetely worth doing if you are starting out in MB.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Sitting in my hotel room writting this. A bit fed up and quite bored so thought I would write a bit in my diary. Been away since Tuesday lunch time and wont be home until late tomorrow. Attending our monthly sales meeting tomorrow not really looking forward to it but it has to be done.
Anyway have done a bit more MB so this is where I am at. As Eurobet lost the £70 in effect went into my Betfair account so I have withdrawn the rest in there and unless I get a special reload offer I wont be using that account.
I kept looking and looking for something to spend my free bet with BGbet. Found a great one but had to call up and in the end they would only let me bet £4 so didn't do it. I continued to look and found another great one but they would only let me do £1.10 so went with it on the England game having less than 2 goals. Obviously that lost so again the money came into my Betfair account. I am so fed up with BGBet, they are such a joke and when you speak to them they keep saying they can't take the risk that is why I can't bet that much. I need one more bet to get the next free bet but it wont be for much. They take the average and as they only let me bet such pity amounts it is not really worth it. I need to bet something like £92 to make it up in 1 bet and that is not going to happen. Will still try to find something for the free bet but move on at the weekend and sign up to a new bookie. Anyone got any ideas? I was thinking of Sportingbets.
So in total profit from MB is £132.92 not badSave £12k in 25 No 49

Sorry I have not been around for a few days. Been dabling a bit in MB and signed up for s......bets (just in case they find this and think I am abusing their offer.). You need to place a bet of £25 and get a free £25 if you email them every Monday. Done the first bet.
Been trying to get rid of my £25 free bet at BGbets and have finally done it. It wil only let me bet 1 or 2p a time so can't really lay it at Betfair and yes I know it is not MB but what can I do. I deposited £100 and got £85 out of it. I am still up on Betfair so not sure exactly what I have made on that bookies but hey not too bad. Taken my money out but still have a few open bets for pennies in there some on the golf etc.
DH needed to get a new pair of shoes today. He found 2 pairs in the sale for £50 which was really good. I found a pair down from £90 to £50 which I was happy with it. At the till they had been reduced to £35 - results.
Playing golf tomorrow for the first time since New Year. Its a Valentines Competition so should be good fun.
Remember what I have been doing with my free bet on BGbet is not MB and canot be recommended but I could not find a way of putting a bet on at over £2 so I could lay it at Betfair. Phoning up did not work for me either.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Tallgirl, well done on your MBing. It's diaries like this that get others interested that wouldn't necessarily come across. It is so hard to convince people that it is not GAMBLING!
Well done on your diary so far. Good luck with the long term goal.0
