Gallygirl I am glad I am not the only one who has to get the best deal and gets annoyed when the shops get their displays wrong.

As for the Egg shares well we live and learn and at least they are not in Egg as they would probably have been worth about as much as 1 egg by now.

Thinking of taking some funds out of MB to pay off the bathroom "loan" problem is you can only take out of Betfair what you have deposited so that might not be a plan.

Also Paypal found in my favour and paid me £10 out of the ebay sellers account. I know she had offered to refund £7 but when she hadn't done it after 3 weeks I went for £10. Sadly the money has been paid into a credit card I have cut up so not sure how I can get the funds out. Will leave her negative feedback I think she deserves it.

I have withdrawn more out of Betfair than I have deposited in. I think you can only withdraw to the same card that you deposited with, but you can certainly withdraw more than you've deposited.

Thanks Pegasus but I started off depositing with 1 card and then I had a new card so the current one shows £2200 deposit £2200 withdrawal and £0 to currently withdraw so I don't think I can do it. Not sure how you did it?

Off to Winchester today before my 3 day round trip to Devon and Cornwall tomorrow. Still need to book 1 hotel so better get on with it.

Update: Booked hotel but not via Quidco, sometimes convenience is better than cashback.

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)

Yes having a hotel in the right place avoid too much travelling so on this occasion I had to use one not on Quidco. Also I don't want to repeat my Margate experience with the cheap hotel.

However just booked on for the end of the month and earned £10.50 cashback so kind of makes up for it.

Right back online and can access this site. In Cornwall and Devon at the moment. Staying at a golf course in a 1 bedroom lodge, free internet access and breakfast incl all for £55 and I got cashback too. Great.

Only snag is that I do not have channel 5 so no Martin tonight on the box.

Bit tired long day today and yesterday so will chill out and relax before my meeting tomorrow.

No news on the money saving front but will do a proper update when I have my final bathroom bill and sorted out MB accounts.

Take care and enjoy itpaystowatch you lucky people.

Ups not updated for a while but back home after a long week which is nice. The sun is out and no wind perfect for the men vs ladies game we are going to play in at 11am.

Seeing the in laws and BIL exgirl friend and child Sunday so I need to make the pudding but not a lot else on this weekend. Only two working days next week before we go to Spain. Nice can't wait.

    Hi TG

Not sure if I've got the right end of the stick here - do you mean that this £10 has put the card into credit? If so I was in a similar situation and just rang them up and they said did I want the money to go into my bank account or cheque sent out - I got the money out no problem.

Thanks aboutmetoo it did put the card into credit so sounds like I can get it back. Problem is I cut the card up so have no record of the acc no so will have to wait until they send me a statement. Then I can cancel the card properly which I should have done in the first place.

Off to the inlaws in a moment, turned out match was not today so we turned up at 11.30 and no one was around as the game is tomorrow. Did play 9 holes which was lovely but my game is so pants it is quite sad really. Will play tomorrow instead and inlaws have agreed to dinner instead of lunch so that helped sort my mess out.

Spent £99 on 7 Le Creuset pots and pans, naughtly really but they are lovely.

    Morning
Have to take my car in for a service but it is !!!!ing down and the trafic will be awfull to leaving it a bit longer. I used to have a WV and the service I received was really poor so I was so happy to have used Toyotas for the last 3 years. Now I am back with WV so eventhough I won't have to pay for the service I just know how poor it will be. Well we shall see.

Wen't to inlaws last night, ok evening MIL really stressed out about the cooking and I just think it is too much for them to have 2 adults and a child staying for 3 nights. They are 82 and 79 so they are actually doing quite well. Ex DIL if you can call her that is having some debt problems in South Africa so I was giving her some debt advice. She needs to open a basic bank account as she relies on her overdraft being increased in order to pay her Credit Card. It was kind of nice giving debt advice again but a but strange. Ended up talking a lot about cooking at home to save money. She has no income other than what the Dad (my horrid BIL) gives her but she does not cook just buys ready meals from M&S which does add up. Her mum was there and she cooks a lot so told her to teach her daughter and to batch cook. I know the little girl is disabled and special needs so that is tough but you can batch cook without too much effort.

Anyway should get dressed and ready to go. Have a ton of work to do but only today and tomorrow of work before 5 days in hopefully sunny Spain. Can't wait to go.
