Hi DD
Thanks for that you are right we do need to treat ourselves even if £18k is a bit over the top as they were perfectly funtionally and only 13 years old.
I am so pleased some of the missing MFi3 are coming back it would be nice to have them all back but I think people who hasn't paid much off tends to stay away but that is just silly as it is not a race. Well I will keep reminding people I want to get as many as possible for the January update.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Plan to move to Denmark for FIRE by Autumn 2025 “May your decisions reflect your hopes not your fears”

Right lets see how much did I get done yesterday:
- My M&S order is at the post office that is DH's present so need to pick that up. :j
- Buy birthday card for DH :j
- Buy birthday card for nephew :j
- post nephews present
- friend is about to have a baby + her birthday is the 20th Nov. :j
- appointment at 2pm for work about 45 min drive away :j
- write sales reports
- check on ebay :j
Bought my first Christmas present yesterday two pairs of angorra socks for my sister. I also got my friends birthday present for £10 I do like TK Max and as I travel so much I get to go to different stores around the country. Need to start thinking seriously about Chrismas presents soon but at least we will have 2 days in Denmark to do some shopping.
Ebay is moving a little bit had a question about my vase which usually means someone is interested. I have not put the oboe on yet but 1 more candle so I now have a buy it now as well as an auction hopefully that will make people see them. Need to sell them soon as nobody wants advent candles after the 1st December.
Oh by the way I did a little game site sign up thanks to another MSE friend. I only made £7.40 as I lost on the last two goes. Not risk free but pretty low risk. Sent it to my friend she might want to do it.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Getting a few more presents together bought a knife for my uncle & a knife sharpener very expensive but got 20% off the price plus 10% cashback with quidco. Today I spoke to my sister she would like clothes for the two children (they millions of toys anyway). She really really like Tesco's cherokee stuff and they just happened to have 20% off as well. We got a tillspill with spend £60 to get £9 off. Very nice plus clubcard points.
Still havent wrapped and sent the two birthday presents but can do that on Monday.
Went out for a curry last night with two friends (also out neighbours) I paid £85 but they look after our cat so often and it was a really nice evening. A bit hungover today but just had a kip so ready to cook roast dinner for the inlaws tonight.
Done some MB got my £50 free bet from Sporting bets and plugging away at Gamebookers.Save £12k in 25 No 49

So nice to have the house to myself today as DH is playing golf. He hardly ever play without me so that is nice. Wrapped up and are now ready to post the two birthday presents tomorrow so that is all done.
Sold my vase on Ebay got £30 for it plus £9 postage which if I ask nicely DH's company will pay for. Then there is the Ebay and Paypal fees so we shall see. My Dad said we could share the profits but I feel a bit bad about not getting more. They sell for £55 in Denmark but I only had 1 bid. Need to put the oboe on and new skirt I never worn but just not sure when it is best to do maybe nearer to Christmas.
Done a bit of MB still not finished with Gamebookers. Need a new bookie but not sure which one to do.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Tallgirl
Week of 8 December is expected to be peak for online purchases and then you start to hit the postage delays; I'd get your items on now, then if limited interest take them down for a week before reposting.
Good luck
BTW: how long would it take to drive to your family in Denmark? Just a thought for any future times where you have to get tickets at short notice as I would assume it would be cheaper?0 -
Thanks Stuart that is really useful to know I think I will get the oboe on then, maybe Thursday next week so it ends Sunday 7th December.
Also as for the idea of driving to Denmark that means two nights in a hotel and petrol plus it takes too long when I have so little leave. But the ferry we took in summer was £760 which I thought was steep but with the flights this much it looks more like an option for next Summer.
Struggling with my Norton Antivirus. There was an update but it crashed so did not uninstall the previous version so now I have two which slows everything down. My subscription runs out in January and I see Barclays are offering free Kaspersky antivirus. Problem is I know so little about it and i need to check I get firewall too.
Need to post my parcels today and obviously do some work.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Morning
Sold a calendar candle yesterday I had it up for £7.99 with best offer and someone offered £5 so I took it. I know it is less but I paid about £1 for the candles 2 years ago. Need to post it today if possible as they have just paid.
Did not get my laptop sorted yesterday but Norton is now OK and actually the new version seems quicker.
Went to a local gym with my neighbour it is the same instructors as my gym but it is 500 years away and I think it would encourage me to go if she is going all the time. There is no joining fee but I am going to see a Pilates Class before I decide on Friday. I pay £37 a month and I think it is about the same although they dont have gym which I never use. Might look into Martin health insurance thing as it is a fitness first.
My M&S order and my Cotsworld order has tracked on Quidco I am now up to £734 in 1 1/2 years which I think is fab. Need to book 3 hotel rooms for December so that will be a bit extra. Our holiday savings are totally depleted due to the tickets to Denmark and that is what that money gets used for so nice to top it up.
Got to go and do a demonstration today and tomorrow for work so at least that gets me out of the office. Better wrap that candle up as I am sure there will be a post office where I am going.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Didn't get around to writing on here yesterday must have done about 300 miles in a day which means I am a bit tired today but only had to do 100 today.
Posted my candle cost £1.99 so £1 profit on the postage which means I have lowered the others to £7.99 intead of £8.99 as I need to sell them as they are no good past 1st December.
Still debating if I should put the oboe on thsi week. If so it will have to be tonight so it gets the full 10 days. I have no idea what it is worth so not sure if I should put a reserve on it. Oh what to do......
Done the Icehockey offer on Gamebookers and Partybets it really is worth doing as you get a full refund if you don't win. Also you get £60 for sigining up and if you use refer a friend you can split the free and get an extra £27 or so. Not a bad little offer really and you can have both accounts. Apparently there is an ITV bets too but they don't do that offer.
Anyway better get on with some work.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Match Betting Update
Currently working on DHs Gamebookers account and doing the Full Refund Icehockey game each week. It was a draw so made a nice profit of £39 and will get 3 x £13 for that games I lost on. Need to wager about £120 more on DHs account to get the refer a friend bonus. Referred him myself we shall see if it works.
CLickBet gave me £3 free plus £12 if I deposited £12 so done that and put it on football at the weekend, needs to be wagered 3 times if it wins but min odds are 1.2 so quite easy.
Also betting £20 with Sportingbet to get £5 free on the Champions League winners. Last week this week will give me £30 free bet.
Using Netteller a lot more to get money quickly back into my account. They are offering 0.5% cashback but you need to transfer a lot. Might have a look at it runs until the end of December.
Might sign up to Globet to get the free bet.
Work finally paid my expenses so current account looking better and I get my bonus this month. My company credit card would not pay for diesel yesterday so I had to pay the £72 myself and claim it back. A pain really. Just booked 3 hotel rooms for December and earned £9 cashback with Quidco, nice little earner.
Hope to sell more on Ebay and top up the holiday fund which is currently empty thanks to Christmas flights.
Off to see a client today so better get on with some work.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Right I wanted to have a chat about supermarket shopping where do you shop and why
Our nearest Supermarket is Sainsbury but I prefer Tesco as we get clubcard points. Also for the last few weeks they have been giving us spend £70 get £10 off which has been quite nice. I also like their wine promotions and it is sometimes handy to buy online to get extra points and usually free delivery. Only ever do wine shopping online not done food yet.
I know Martin says to go down one when you shop and I must admit I have stopped buying Finests and Taste the difference for most things. Mainly it is other stuff that we used to buy that is now suddenly finest so total rubbish really.
We do drink quite a lot of wine each week at least a bottle a day maybe more so our weekly shop does usually come to about £60. I would like to cut it down but I am not good at it. When I was a student I would check every price and buy the cheapest now I am really lazy although I do check weight etc against price. Today I wanted meat for stew but did not like the stewing stuff so get the offer Tesco is doing with 3 x 400g of rump steak for £10. Better meat at the same price at the cheap stewing stuff.
I did go into Lidl yesterday to have a look around and I was surprised that they do branded stuff in there. I thought it was all German stuff. I wanted to find some Gloegg which is about the same as the German stuff and they did sell it. I also saw a Pizza kit in the fresh section, you got fresh pizza dough and a jar of tomato topping for £1.49. I bought some mozzarella cheese for 49p and some parma ham for £2. It was actually really nice, better than the pre-bought ones which I never like. I also had a flyer from Dominos Pizza one the same size would have been £10. We never have pizza delivered by the way.
My question is how do you keep your food bill down without compromising on quality? Do you shop in Lidl and Aldi and what do you buy? What is nice and even better than the other supermarket?
