Morning just starting to sort out my suitcase and do bit of washing but still has to get 1 day more before we leave. Got some good news of the companys intranet we are getting a £500 bonus at the end of November (before tax) that will pay for our flights to Denmark as I don't have enough airmiles.

Problem is now I really want a week in Spain playing golf in March but still want to clear the rest of the payments for the bathrooms. Just had a quick look and for the week we want to go the flights are £105 for 2 plus £48 for the checked in bags. However the golf clubs will be £100    that is scary used to be £15 each way but guess Ryanair have to pay for all those free flights. Anyway we usually stay in a hotel but the company is now offering appartments and the whole week with 4 rounds of golf would work out at £1010 for both with car hire. I think that is pretty good. Now I need to work on DH.

Hello from the mountains in Spain were we are having a nice time. It is a bit wet at times but we saw the sun today. Nice to chill out and not do a lot. Better get back to the kitchen where we are cooking Chicken and potato wedges. Take care

Good to hear you are having a break and enjoying life. It seems you've got everything covered and hope your ex-DIL can get herself out of the mire, but you can only do so much for others..

    Wonderful location in Spain too.

Hasta luego (seeing as how we all have to stay here ;) )
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Morning, back again Monday Morning but at least it is sunny here in South. Had a really nice time in Spain so nice to see my uncle and spent some quality time doing not a lot. Such a beutiful he lives and with all the Autumn colours out is certainly didn't disappoint. We found out my uncle has a girlfriend which was really nice as his 3 son's don't visit him a lot although he does go and see them in Denmark. His two younger sons where out in Spain 3 years ago so was his oldest but the oldest is not planning to come back for another 3 years. Mad if you ask me, I am glad we have been twice in 2.5 years.

Did not spend too madly out there and I did keep an eye on things here as he had all the channels from BBC to Chanel 5 incl Sky. There was a Mango shop where I got 5 tops for €99 but that was for work and needed. All in all incl the clothes and €60 on smokes for DH I think we spent £300 not bad really. Just as well since the pound has dropped so badly.

Saw ItPaysToWatch fancy that Tesco account he is on about as I really need Airmiles for my flight to Denmark at Christmas.

Manage to do a tiny bit of MB but must do some more as some of the bonuses expires this week and I am away a lot.

Looking at this week it is a realy slog, HQ Tues & Weds overnight, then Thurs & Fri Cornwall and then Sat & Sun birthday weekend with the golfing girls. I am not looking forward to that as my gofl is terrible and the thought of spending a nigth in a hotel 20min from home does not thrill me still it will me nice to see the girls again.

Anyway must to some work. Got my annual mortage statement so might do a break down on here how we have done. Take care all.

PS Lastly I am totally gutted about Harry leaving Portsmouth could not believe it.

  • Hi TG - glad to hear you had a good time in Spain.

That Harry Redknapp - he's had more clubs than I've had hot dinners as the saying goes!

Sounds like you have a busy week lined up ahead of you - not sure when you are going to squeeze in sorting out your MB bonuses.

Will also send you PM on a couple of MB matters later but off out to pick my daughter up now so must dash x
