Got an email from the IFA company our IFA has left so someone else has taken over. Not sure how I feel about that. DH phoned Axa and the person who was meant to send out the statement has been on holiday so no one has done it. Well a 3 week holiday is nice isn't.

Working from home today the boys are outside in the garden as my cleaner is ironing. Next doors young cat it up a tree at the end of our garden wonder what my two makes of that.

BIL has now landed from the US so he will be here this evening. I have a Mystery Shop in town later on and really should go and get a quote to fix my laptop just cannot be asked to drive all the way to Pompey.

Gym and wine challenge has gone by the way side this week.

Booked 5 hotel rooms through Quidco at £70 each nice 5% CASHBACK

Now I am not the best photographer but those are taken in doors on a cloudy day and they are so much more clearer than the old one. Went to Jessops as BIL was buying a £2000 SLR camera and while we waited we spotted the Canon Powershot SX200 IS much more of a proper camera rather than the silly little pink jobs but still easy to carry around so will be used more than a big SLR by us. So easy to use but still scope to learn more and use manual settings. It was £199 (£60 off) and for £40 you got an extra battery, 4gb memory card and case so we went for that. I know I should have shopped around but looking at Kelkoo cheapest online is £216 and all you get is a tripod and case so good price I think.

BIL is coming down later with his camera so hopefully he can show me some tricks. Other than that making pizza for dinner and chilling out with him. Hope you are all having a nice Saturday I have just posted the chart on the MFi3 thread.

Yes Thomas is a bit silver but his face is still brownish. Jack is not going anywhere he is definitely still the cute one that everyone likes. Today they are coming with us to MIL & FIL so BIL can take some fab photos of them on his new £2000 camera. We are also building a raised bed for FIL and celebrating Mothers Days. Should be quite a nice afternoon.

Before that I have got to sort my laptop out had a total disaster yesterday. Went to PC world and spoke to the TechGuys told them I think I have a problem with my charger. Craig said let me check and he used some electronic gadget to check and the pin on the charger was not working to full capacity so needed a new one. He told me they sell them at £40 but they were out of stock but I could have a generic one for £70. Since it was for the company I thought fine lets do that. Left the old cable behind as it was plugged in on the other side of the desk and could not see anyone to get it out.

Did not check the new cable straight way but when I did of course it was wrong. There was about 6 different types of adapters in the box but not the one to fit mine so tried to call the store to ask them not to throw out my cable. Kept getting hold of the call centre despite going for the options they suggested so gave up and drove back to the store. Spoke to a real idiot who did not have a clue. 3 other guys just sat at the back and did nothing so he had to keep asking them. Eventually he understood the problem and he found a pre-owned cable under the desk which worked with an adapter on. The one I had bought had a nice cigarette charger and a Continental cable in it so I thought this standard looking charger is going to be about the same if not less.

NO £99 pre-owned but I could go into their next store and buy it for £40. And NO he could not find my old one did not bother really to look for it. I thought I am NOT paying £99 of my companies money to had to go and get a refund. I was so angry no apologies just Craig is not here so I don't know what he has done with the old cable. Now I have no charger and 5% battery left luckily close by we have a Novatech and according to their website they have 19 different laptop charger in stock and they are really nice and helpful. Never ever am I going to use Techguys again.

Update back from Novatech cable we got has the right adaptor but its not charging saying output is too low for this computer. Might have to pop back there before we go. Joy o joy at least the cable was only £41.

Had a fab time at inlaws, I helped FIL build a raised bed and he got a nice 4ft by 4ft one in the end. We took the kittens with us and BIL took loads of phonographs using his new camera and they are fab. Mine is nice but this is a total different thing will post some later. Thinking of getting some of the black and white ones made onto a canvas. MIL cooked a lovely turkey lunch which is good considering she is 81 and has been struggling recently. DH watched the F1 race in the meantime.

MIL gave us £500 so that is the camera paid for and we can use the rest to pay the golf club membership as I refuse to pay £150 extra to pay monthly. Nearly started to panic as we are so used to having the offset but with the extra money and the fact I can pay it all on credit card at no extra cost we shall be fine. Those kittens have made a dent in the joint account that is for sure.

Still not sorted my laptop will go to Novatech this morning and see what they say. Cannot leave it at it is. Not doing Bodybalance this morning have so much work to do instead.

    Take care

I think it was the Nikon D700 with an extra lense think he paid about £2000 but he did get VAT back as he lives in South Africa. Huge camera I would never get around to using something that big but he likes taking pictures of birds and wildlife in South Africa he owns a share in a game lodge.
