Plan to move to Denmark for FIRE by Autumn 2025 “May your decisions reflect your hopes not your fears”

Ups on page 3 just because I have not updated since Sunday. Well not a lot has happened to be honest. Kittens are still growing and behaving badly but so cute it does not really matter. They seem to have got the hang of the harnesses so will be doing that again. Thomas has not had any more accidents but he still has a runny tum but we as we are off to the vet on Monday I will ask them.
Long drive to East Sussex and today it is Bristol. Nice to get out though and it will please my boss. Need to have a shower and print off some reports before I leave in 1 hour.
Money newswise got the plumbing bill to come plus the vet bill but MIL was talking about giving us £500 to pay towards the mortgage. I said we had no mortgage and we really would like a new camera. DH suggested she had out old one and BIL is a really good photographer so would be nice to get his advice. However there are those bills to pay and the annual sub for the golf club which is so much cheaper to pay in a lump sum. Anyway must get on now.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Glad to hear all is ok at your end. Be prepared for Thomas always to have a runny poo, some kitts never grow out of it, and it can cost hundreds to investigate all the possible causes. Worming with panacur may help.
Are you after a digital slr - canon are our preferred brand here, hubby recently got a 50D, very nice.0 -
Thanks Vandanfc for the good advice, will mention it to the vet but as you say it might just be one of those things. Also thanks for the tip with the camera will have a look at that.
Currently waiting for the plumber to service the central heating and hopefully fix the leak under the sink. Then the cleaner will be here and I have to be off about 12.30pm so not to rushed.
Did go to the gym yesterday but not Pump just a workout with neighbor and she will only do 30 min which is not a lot when I would happily do 1 hour or so. Still better than nothing going to do pump on Saturday instead.
Joint account is looking a bit better now no mortgage payment is going out and Council Tax but plumber and vet will take care of that. Would be nice with that £500 off MIL.
That is about it no other news really.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Plumber was £52.40 incl fixing the sink so I was pleased with that. He says it is getting rusty which they cannot do anything about but he does not think we need a new boiler now.
DH can pay for the vet bill as that will be a lot more than £52 is my guess. Then we need to sort out the insurance for those two as well. Any recomendations? They are with Petplan at the moment for 4 weeks free.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Make sure you have good cover, we had Tesco cover for our cat, upto £3,000 which we thought would be more than enough........then came the time she got very poorly and no one knew what was wrong, we ended up having to take her to the Vet Hospital.....believe me it is not cheap:eek:. I would say you need at least 5k cover for each illness. Don't forget to go through Quidco/Topcashback.

Hi
Been bit quiet for the last week but have still been reading your posts about the boys. Must be my new TV keeping me busy :j Am very pleased with it and it is all set up ready for me to watch the F1 season starting next weekend:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j
I have made another mortgage overpayment of £150 for the month of March so keep things going.
Hope you and the boys are well. They must be getting big now.
Have a nice weekend xxMortgage Free as of 31/5/11 :j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
Thanks TPA its £3000 cover or £7500 with Sainsbury and you get double nectar points if you go with the more expensive one. Want to get the check up at the vet out of the way then if there is something wrong with them now (don't think so) then we are covered by Petplan and can renew with them. Rigth now they are playing on the bed well Jack is Thomas is trying to clean himself but Jack keep bouncing on him.
Mummyofonechild sounds like you did well on the telly, I used to watch F1 and I agree it looks fab on a big telly. I don't watch it now as I play golf on a Sunday.
Right now DH is in bath and we are going to head out to Tesco for a big shop nothing left in the house and loads of points vouchers to us. Problem is I want to do Bodypump at 10.30 so have to be back before that. Still its only 8am now.
Nothing else planned for the weekend want to do some gardening so will take the boys outside with out harnesses as they managed to just stay around me yesterday.
Will post some pictures later so you can see how big they have got.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Will the boys be "free range" ? If not, then do you really need insurance ? Looking at some quotes, it looks like to get decent cover, you will be paying about £30 per month ? Saving this up would go a long way to basic vet care. Our cats never went free range, they had a huge enclosed cat garden, so I didn't ever insure them. Have only needed proper care in last few years, when they were past 10 years of age.0
