Congrats on the mortgage Tall Girl. I'll miss your updates.
  • Hello Tall Girl,

Well done on being mortgage free! Must be a great feeling... Look forward to seeing you on the roll of honour.

But I'm sorry to hear about Eric. Always painful loosing a little friend. Actually, they aren't, are they? They're members of the family. Hope you can remember the good times as well as the sad moments.

    Congratulations TG :T

    Sorry about Eric :(

I followed your link to website - is it a cat you're getting or a lion , seriously big!

Thanks TPA, ChirpChip, Queen Be and GallyGirl we do miss Eric and he was much loved but also looking forward to getting the new one. Yes it is a Cat but they are huge and lovely. Got a book about them so studying the breed.

Had a nice trip to Swindon yesterday had to go into the Outlet Shopping Village which is huge and great. Got DH two Van Husen shirts for £45 should have been £32.50 each. I also got a Super King Sixe 100% cotton fitted Sheet from John Lewis for £11.50 down from £30 and a Super King Size Duvet cover for £35 down from £75. Its a dark colour so better with cats.

Today we did a Mystery Shop for Breakfast, spur of the moment signed up for it yesterday. It was a Weatherspoon and we had really nice food and the coffee was good at only 99p fantastic value too. Had a huge amount and only spend £8.14 not even the full £9.75 we could.

Got home and went to input the survey but saw another MS for £30 in a Slug and Lettuce. Back down to town again but the food and service was awfull. My chicken skewer which had been fanstastic at the Chichester Slug and Lettuce was horrid. They had left the skin on so you got this soggy rubbery skin when you bit into it. Also no sevice at all you had to got to the bar each time. Rubbish but free at least. Gave them a real had time on the feedback hopefully I will get paid. That is 7 I have done so far in January incl the one tomorrow.

Chilling out now and not going to worry about cooking dinner. Hope you are all having a nice Saturday.

    Morning All
Done all my reports for Mystery Shopping that is 8 in the last 2 weeks might give it a rest now unless something really nice comes up.

My friend came over yesterday for a few drinks which was nice shame it was Sunday night though. She has got a job interview in Norfolk and does not really want to move but if it is more money she could be tempted. Also her current employer is keen to keep her and they know about the interview so maybe she can get a payrise out of them.

Got my online access code for my pension and logged in. My IFA said when he was looking at my statement that it looks like I have a second policy as I pay two amounts into the pension. Well I only have 1 according to them (I even phone to check) and that is for my £75 contribution which becomes £93.25 thanks for tax relief. So the £137.25 they also deduct from my salary is at the moment unaccounted for. Great and my HR department is useless but they have promised to call me back.

God knows where that money is and if it is not in a Pension what about the lost Tax Relief I shall have to have words with them when they call me back. A bit of a worry but at least I should have a larger pension than I think. Will keep you posted.

Trying to sort some work out so better get on with it.

Still missing having a cat around cannot wait to get the news that my kitten has been born but that could be a good few weeks yet.

Just had a call from HR confusingly they add my other contributions together with the employer contributions making it all in one so stuck with the amount I have but at least I know where the money is.

Lost 200 grams which is hardly fantastic.

Just discovered a way to drink less wine, buy something you don't really like. Bought 3 bottle of Spanish Rose quite a dark red colour and I usually drink Pinot Grigio Blush. Yes it works wine is OK but not that great so it only makes you want to have 1 glass.

Been to the Gym Monday night for a workout, Tuesday to do Bodypump and Thursday I shall be doing Pumb again. Hope I can keep it up my fitness has dropped since I stopped going mid December to Mid January. Will try to keep track in my signature from now on.

Getting a few more updates for the MFi3 so close to the finishing line and some many great results.

Went to pick up Eric's urn, lovely little card board thing. Cost £127 but well worth it. I think they forgot to charge us for putting him down but I did ask twice if that was the whole bill so their loss. Still miss having a cat and cannot wait to get the kitten. Its been named Thomas after Thomas Bjørn. DH saw some kittens for sale in Liverpool he was seriously considering driving up there to get them. Two hours later they were all gone from the website I think there must be a national shortage of Maine Coon kittens.

Actually he was named after the Monty Python sketch Fish License where he says "I call all my pets Eric".

Just realised that my meeting finished tomorrow at 5pm so I shall not be able to make the gym - bummer but I am going to one of the Queens castles so cannot complain really.

Cooking chicken pie with left over chicken so wish me luck. DH is so fussy he would like it like his mum use to cook it. However she seems to have forgotten how to do it so will have to be hit and miss. Maybe I should take a leaf out of the Hairy Bikers book and get her to write them all down for me. Its all about passing on family recipes. I wish I had got my Gran's almond cake recipe she always used to cook that. Sadly never got it.
