Morning All did not have time to post as I was away all day. Chicken pie was totally lovely just like my Mother in laws. I usually cook from scratch but using Cambells soup worked really well. Also made some pasties using left over stew aka Hugh F W and they were brilliant. Such a good way to use up leftovers on both counts. Will be making them again for sure.

Went to the Queens castle and had a really good day workwise loads of good contacts but also facinating to be inside so to speak. Must get some more appointments now or my boss will not be happy.

Looking forward to the weekend my friend is coming over and she is going to help me build a second raised bed so we can grow more next year. I need to get the wood etc first so hopefully she does not want to come too early Saturday morning.

Went out for a drink last night as one of our local pubs were just reopening after refrb. Iti s huge now but quite new and the new menu looks fine too. Mind you don't really need to go there anymore as we get our meals out via Mystery Shopping these days.

Actually he was named after the Monty Python sketch Fish License where he says "I call all my pets Eric".

This made me laugh as it's actually quite true in my family! My family have always called their dogs the same name; me and my mother have just worked out that for the last 60 years (yes, that does say 60) all the dogs have been called the same. It was something my grandma started and my mam carried it on... Actually, in an odd way it's quite nice as we kind of think it's remembering them all by each having the same name

Thanks for that story abouttimetoo I think that is really sweet that they all had the same names. DH is considering having to kittens now Thomas and Eric the 2nd. I am not quite sure.

Tescopointsaddict thanks we are doing OK we do miss him loads and you are right a home without a pet is just not right.

My friend came over Saturday to help me build a raised bed and she said she felt something odd when she walked in. She helped us bury him just in front of the fence where he used to crawl under after we got the gate. He also spent a lot of time under that bush in the shade. My avatar is a picture of him pretty much in the spot where he is now buried.

Really good weekend got the raised bed done, £16 for materials to build a 3ft x 4ft bed. Looks just like the on my bad build so now I have double the capacity. Got several seeds now planted on my window sill ready to plant out when they are ready.

Sunday we did a bit more gardening pulling down a load of Ivy. My friend is really strong so she got loads done. Just managed to sneak two garden waste bins out to the bin men even though you are only meant to get rid of 1 every 2 weeks. We then went out for lunch together with my neighbor which was nice as I had not seen her since she started working. All in all a nice weekend.

Working from home today and then off to the West Country Wednesday and Thursday so not too bad. Should be a good week.

Didn't get to the gym yesterday evening as my friend cried off but did do my bodybalance there in the morning and no wine later on.

Meeting up with an old friend of mine I have not seen her for over 1 year and we used to work together. I missed her so much when I left my last place of work but got the feeling she did not really want to stay in touch. Still will be great to see her today.

Some really exiting news about a new addition to the household......

DH left a message for a breeder in London who had kittens and I emailed her at 9pm she called and we had a long chat. She was really vetting me asking about work hours etc etc. Very nice woman really liked her so she emailed pictures of the two males she has left. She had 11 kittens from two litters so have 4 left. They are really really nice and just what we want so have said we will have them both. DH really wanted two last time so I had to give in. They are £400 each so a more reasonable price and DH is going to speak to the other breeder to see if she will refund the deposit. If not it is our fault and we will have learned a lesson. I am much more comfortable with this one. The kittens have lived in her house and she is a very active member of the Maine Coon Club and goes to shows etc. They are ready now but she cannot fit us in the see them this weekend so I think it will be Monday. Cannot wait and it gives us time to get all the kitten stuff together. Cue sign up to loads of kitten freebies if they are still around.

Other than that had a good pump session in the gym but had two glasses of wine so happy after the call about the kittens I had 1 more glass.

Off to Devon overnight but staying in the same hotel as last time where you have to buy a drink to get free wifi.

    Take care all.

PS nearly forgot 1 is still called Thomas but the other one is going to be Jack, after Jack Nicklaus. Nicklaus nickname is the Golden Bear and Thomas Bjørn means Bear. Fitting I think.

Thanks DD I agree the MFi3 Challenge has been a huge benefit and I am so glad I did it. 3 years ago everyone was telling me to get away from our offset mortgage and remortgage to a fix rate. Then the rates fell and we have been paying .85% above base rate and not had to pay for any remortgages. Also now that DH has had to take a paycut due to the tough times it is a nice feeling that no mortgage payment will go out.

The kittens are being picked up on Sunday saying that she has told us that if we dont like them we really dont have to have them. Chance of that happening is slim. She is giving us a discount of £50 so £750 for two. I know one is the runt of the litter but I am sure he will be fine. She tells me he is small as he likes the wet food best and with 11 kittens if he is not quick enough he does not get much. I am sure I can fatten him up. Will post pictures soon you can see the differnce in size.

Devon was good but could not log into the internet eventhough I bought a drink and had a card for 4 hours wifi. Got back at 7pm last night so not too bad. Today no appointments and I have a haircut at 1pm. Really want to go to Pilates at 10.45 too but that might be taking the mickey mind you boss goes on holiday today.

Drinkswise not doing too good but not bad either. Take care all and have a nice Friday.
