Aw. Nearly as nice as my brand new great niece. Nearly, but not quite :)

I'd be seriously worried about them learning to look so cute so young - how will you ever be able to tell them off :rotfl:

PS - if you don't like Jack I am prepared to help out by taking him off your hands :o

  • Aww they are lovely. Will certainly keep you busy. If things go to plan I hope to be mortgage free by the end of 2012. Not sure how many days but still seems a long way off. Enjoy the kittens :D

Gallygirl congratulation on the niece - babies are lovely especially if you can give them back. I am sure you will have lots of fun with her. Is it your first niece? My niece is 3 this Summer and lovely but kittens are a different story.
Mummyofonechild good luck with your mf journey, keep chipping away at it and remember it is not a sprint but a marathon so have fun in the meantime.
Vandanfc you have good detective skills and are right. She does not know we put down a deposit with the other breeder but I am sure she does not mind either.

1 more sleep until we get the kittens. DH woke up at 6.30am ready to so shopping for kitten stuff. Not normally that keen on shops unless they are golf related. We do have to be back for 12.30pm according to him as that is when Pompey play Scummer big game that one. My sister compared me and DH in the pet shop with to newly pregnant ladies in a baby shop. I can see that how ever we are not going mad.

I need some stuff from the garden centre namely netting to keep the little ones out of my raise beds. My potatoes arrived yesterday so I can now get them chitting. I am a bit confused as it says they take 6 weeks to chit and you do it in Feb. On the potato bag instructions you plant them out in Feb. Guess if you chit them they take less time so you plant them out later.

Well that is it for now will confess to how much I have spent on the kittens later.

She's my great niece, 1st new born baby I've held for around 15 years , although I was amazed at how familiar it felt. My DD & DS & nieces & nephew are grown up so lovely to have a baby in the family again :). Our friends have 2 little ones & I'm close to my cousin & his family but they are all a few hundred miles away so don't see them often.

Well shopping all done and still we did not get all the right things so had to buy some off the net. £150 later  but that does incl 7 kilo of dry food, bed, bowls, basket, harness, litter etc etc. Just making some small bag to store things in so we dont loose it all over the house. In particular the toys seems to go everywhere.

Also got 3 grow bag for my potatoes in bag, 1 bag of bark to put around the raised beds and some well rotted manure to feed the soil in the beds as it was used last year for veg and potatoes. Also netting to keep little monsters out. £25 so not so bad now I have everything for the veg garden for this year.

Gallygirl great niece sounds lovely guess shame she is so far away but there is always Skype. I saw my niece in her fancy dress outfit yesterday she is going to be a giraffe. Really nice clear picture now I have bought them a new web cam for Christmas.

They celebrate Fastalavn in Denmark basically the start of lent although it is non religious as they used to put a cat in a wooden barrel and beat it until there were none left. The one that gets the last piece of wood down is King for the day. Still have the wooden barrel today but now it is full of sweets. I used to hate it as a kid as my mum and dad never spent any money on the fancy dress so inevitable we never won best dress. They do have some nice Danish Pasty type rolls filled with cream, custard and jam that are very nice. Probably the best thing about Fastalavn.

Well the game is on so should go and watch a bit.

Will promise to post loads of pictures of the new arrivals when I can.
