Tricky call on interest rates over 5yrs; seems next 12months expectation is low rates here. Post Office Growth Bonds were offering quite a good rate for 12months, but I think issue 10 is closed. DD has offer of 3.5% if she rolls current bond in for another 12months so we may take that option having looked around (she of course is not a tax payer).

Good luck on calling that choice... are there any penalties if you pull the funds out before 5yrs are up?

Thanks Stuart I shall have to look into the penalties before I decide. Seems like you have got a good deal at 3.5% I think I would be more comfortable with 1 year as well.

Looks like the money from the sale of the investment papers are now in my Danish current account they raised 153,300kr which is a nice legacy from my Grand Mother. I am taking over all bar 10,000kr so that will be able £17,000 and I assume it wont be long now until they hit my Nationwide Account.

Still snow here but is melting which is a relief and we haven't had any more snow. A bit worried about my gutters the snow is resting on it from the roof and it is bending a bit under the strain.

Quiet day today but I do need to book venue for my training days for work. Just spoken to the venue and stupid thing is is already booked by the agency I am trying to do the day for so no good unless they have booked it for me. Need to find out.

Weight is down to 77.4 and no drinking so far. Very pleased with myself.

Morning, money have now left Denmark so should hit my Nationwide account hopefully this week. Will be so strange to have all that money and I still haven't done anything about the ISA. Mind you I have canceled that IFA appointment and booked one with another company for next Friday at home.

He sounds really nice and he sent me a questionnaire to fill in before hand. It is quite tricky to complete so I have not done all of it. We seem to have misplaced one of DH pensions only have some papers from 1997 so hopefully DH can find out more at work.

Cat will be on steroids from today DH are picking them up as the antibiotics do not seem to do anything this time. I am not holding out much hope but vet thinks it is worth a go. She even said "they are cheap as chips".

Got myself a Mystery Shop for Saturday website finally seems to be sorted so loads on there.

Off to HQ today and are having dinner with a girl from work to discuss the training for next year. Should be a nice evening and I am certain I can stick with no drinking. Done over 1 week now is quite pleased with myself.

Update just got 3 Mystery Shops for this week. £45 worth of dinner/lunch at Green King Pubs - will have to go for the diet version.

Thanks Stuart managed to get another one at an upmarket supermarket so will be a busy weekend. Just stuffed myself at the hotel Im at as the room rate incl a 3 course meal. £80 for BB single room, £59 double room plus 3 course meal so had to go for it obviously. Still no drinking feeling smug now but I am eating a lot of rubbish still. Time for bed now good night.

Long long day yesterday but only doing to local appointments today so not too bad.

Logged into my bank account and the Danish money is now here all £17,000 of it. Now I need to set up those ISA's and crack on with it. Also need to phone Barclays to pay of the mortgage but might wait until the next payment of the mortgage is in which is the 18th.

Seeing the IFA tomorrow but DH still hasn't done his pension details. I might just email him what I have got so far and then he can get the rest tomorrow.

Got Mystery Shop this eveing which is a bit of a drive into Portsmouth but is a nice pub so should be fine as the snow is melting now. Even my gutters seems to have survived the ice on them only look a bit out of shape.

Edit IFA is not until next Friday so have plenty of time. Phew.

Mystery Shop went well and found one for £30 at Saturday lunch time so released one to have that one instead. A bit naugthy but 3 of the same will get boring. Only problem with new lunch on is the have to have 1 glass of wine, 1 coke, 1 spirit and mixer and 1 lager. Well I am not drinking so DH will have to have a lot or we leave some. It is a restaurant chain I have never been to in a nice town for shopping so hope DH is up for it.

As I said still no alchohol and feeling great do miss it a bit in particular about 8pm when watching the telly. Still I think I can do it.

Working from home today so can finally do Pilates - cannot wait to get back to the gym my back is starting to hurt.

Nationwide is a bit of a pain as you can only transfer £3000 a day so might have to go to the branch on Saturday to sort that out. Actually I could do that in the town we have lunch or the 1st Mystery Shop. Would make sense. Opened my Barclays Golden ISA for £1 as the Nationwide money has not hit Barclays yet. It was instant which was great just hope DH can open his in branch with out too many problems. Actually I might as well get the cash to Barclays today so it is in the account for tomorrow pain to have to top them up later.

Cat has started to eat prawns a bit expensive over cat food but at least he is eating something. Our friend came over last night they had to put their 16 year old cat down due to kidney problems. Sounds very much like what we have with Eric. Don't think he has long and steroid don't seem to do anything.

Better get on with it take care all great the snow is going away now.

I do love those yes that will be DH after lunch I am sure. We have to ask a question in the wine department so test their knowledge so I think I shall ask for non alcoholic wine or low cal wine never tried it but if they have a nice dry one I might try it.

Sorted DH ISA out without having to go to the bank. He did have online banking but lost the details as he never uses it. I went on to register him again and it found his details and let me set up a new password. 5 min later and he had an ISA. Cool but I managed to look at all his detials and transfer money between his accounts without the new pin code which they are sending him. Turn out he was £600 overdrawn before Christmas but he has now taken £500 out of the company and will take another £500 for car expenses he had not claimed. He is so bad that those sort of things I would never let my account go that much overdrawn but he just does not check statements or balances.

Got my two MS later on don't have to leave until about 12 and DH wants to get back for some football match later on this afternoon which I could not care about. Pompey playing Birmingham so lets hope they win. Give me time to sort out the MFi3 Chart have another 6 updates since I last up dated the chart.

Cat seems a bit brighter has eaten some prawns and 1/2 packet of cat food already this morning :T.
