So sorry to hear Eric not well again TG. However, your typo (assuming that's what it was
) made me giggle:
last night we cried a lot before peeing on the carpets.
Really inspiring to hear of your post mortgage plans & I look forward to your updates.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

That is a funny typo but I have corrected it. Don't want people to think that I pee on the carpets as well as being addicted to booze.
DH just gone to work, he took ages to clear the car but got out ok in the end.
Also just added Citibank to my Egg money manager so I put the money in there as soon as it arrives from Denmark. Think I might use this diary to keep track of the interest rates.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Totally agree Gallygirl about forgetting the log ins if you are on another computer. This morning Egg is down so cannot see any external accounts so will have to wait.
Earthgirl thanks for the encouragement it is going to be so nice to get rid of that mortgage.
Managed to book an appointment with an IFA for Monday the 21st Jan in my local town. When I told DH he said he used to have a financial adviser who was well dodgy in that row of houses so now I am seriously thinking of cancelling it. The names are not the same but the person he had sold him a rubbish endownment and one to his brother who was not even resident in this country. Yes I think I shall cancel and try another one. There are loads.
No appointments today but I don't think many are going to bother going in it is still bad on the roads as the smaller ones have not been gritted but I really want to do Pilates this morning. Will wait and see.
Still doing well on the no alchohol not touched a drop but have had quite a few sweets. They say you crave sweet things as wine is full of sugar. Makes we sound even more like an alcoholic.
Eric is still not right will leave it over the weekend and then see. Could put him on steriods it might help. Not sure will have to speak to the vet.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Ventured out for the first time yesterday since the snow. My car was covered in 10cm of snow so took a while. I have to reverse out and do a 3 point turn and got stuck on the ice. Two kind neighbours gave me a push and put some grit down. The roads are rubbish even bigger ones only have 1 lane and if we get more snow it is going to be awful.
Had to go out as I need to fectch some antibiotics for Eric. Called the Vet and she wants to try him on those again as he did perk up last time. Got there only had 3 out of the 5 tablets left so she said do you want to pay for them all. Yes fine £3.11 well that was a nice surprise I thought it would be much more. Shame I now have to go and fetch the other two later next week.
No plans this weekend other than to tidy the house. Bin did not get emptied while we were away as no one to put it out so will now have to wait 1 more week to get it emptied so a bit of a pain. Have loads I want to throw out or at least freecycle.
Worried about some of the plants in the garden might try to get the snow off them and take some inside if I can find the space with the rubbish piling up in there.
Still not had a drink thought I would fail last night as Friday night is always a glass of Rose for me about 7pm but I did not have any. I feel great but need to get the the gym as my back hurts. Surely they must have cleared the road up there or no one has been able to go for 5 days now.
Still in bed and DH is about to return after getting the papers so I really should get up now. Just dont feel like it.
Take care all and be careful in the snow if you are driving.Save £12k in 25 No 49

TG
Hope you get a break from the snowfall, but seems we have two more weeks of this yet! Germany bracing for blizzards I think tonight...
Getting information on the specific road conditions is tricky, Highways agency site (trafficengland.com) had dropped the maps too due to server demands which doesn't help... Hope you can minimise travel where possible.0 -
Thanks Stuart, I will defo check the roads before I set out on Tuesday. Today we are meeting in laws for lunch it is FIL 85th birthday. He is the one that still works more or less full time in the company.
Been looking into ISA's a bit more although my money as yet to leave my Danish account. Barclays is 2.65% no ties and Nationwide is 4.5% yearly interest on a 5 year bond. I am kind of tempted with the 4.5% as it is only £3600 each and it would grow more than at 2.65%. However if rates do go up it is not so good. Really not sure what to do would be happy to tie the money up but have a feeling the rates will go up over the next 5 years.
Kind of weird having to think about savings again but really really nice. Going to post a sneak preview of the MFi3 Chart its looking good but we need loads of updates. I think people are struggling to do it due to the post being delayed by snow. I forgot to post my expenses to work handly to blame the delay on the snow.
Take care all and keep warm its about +5 here so hope it will melt some of the snow.

Thanks Hughmungas I am looking to do the full allowance for this year and then in April I will have almost enough to do the new full amount for 10/11. Don't think I would want to tie up the 10/11 ISA for 5 years. Just checked Barclays it is 2.65% AER so corrected the other post.Save £12k in 25 No 49
