Chase Boosted Saver

Yes interest paid today when rate went down to 2.5%. I noticed as I'd already cleared money out to Zopa.sausage_time said:
Yes, me too! Thanks, had not noticed.sdm1985 said:My Chase Saver paid out today, the day the boost ended. This is very odd. Anyone else received interest today?
Funds moved to Ulster Bank for now.1 -
Yeah mine too, just assumed it would have paid out on the 1st as it always does with the remaining few days being pro-rata at the new rate. Not that there's going to be anything left to generate interest on though.. moving everything out tonight until such time as Chase decide to reinstate a worthwhile rate.ToastLady said:

How did you close the account? I saw on the faq’s if your account has a balance you can close immediately by clicking on the three dots. Doesn’t say what to do if zero balance. Either way I can hide the account but that’s it.wiseonesomeofthetime said:
This is what I have done this week.refluxer said:
There's no need to keep the Saver account open so you might as well close that one if you're going to empty it. If they did launch a new bonus rate offer on their Saver account in future, you'd need to open a new one anyway.DodgerPot said:Thanks for both responses
I’ve never actually used the Chase current Spend account at all purely operated the Spend & Invest account with the boosted rate for savings. That’s interesting that if closed Chase don’t allow rejoining.I’ll keep a small balance and dip in and out and top up occasionally just to keep the accounts operational
Thanks
Rate was due to collapse next week, so I just upgraded my Cahoot Simple Saver to a 5% Sunny Day Saver and threw the entire balance in there (£100s, not £ks) and closed the Chase Savings account as it was no longer required. All done within minutes tbh.

Forget the question! I can see if I click through there is a different 3 dots to the one I was trying…RedImp_2 said:

Account opened in 10 minutes. App/web is same platform as RBS and NatWest (which is a positive). So far so good.Scrooge_McDuck86 said:Word of warning to anyone looking at the currently top rated IA Savings accounts for a Chase replacement, check Ulster's Trustpilot reviews before jumping in... barge... pole...I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Credit Cards, Savings & investments, and Budgeting & Bank Accounts boards. I haven't looked at Trustpilot for Ulster, and see no reason to do so. They are part of the Natwest group and their website and app are like the Natwest and RBS ones, i.e. perfectly good, albeit not necessarily with the same product offers. I originally opened an Ulster current account in May 2023 when they had a switch offer, and the account has been mainly dormant . It took seconds to open the limited edition savings account and I will use it if I run out of instant access accounts paying more than 4.5% (assuming the 4.5% is still valid then)1 -
On your own head be it I guess....friolento said:

These review sites will obviously contain a disproportionate number of negative reviews as people visit them to vent their frustration. Ulster has been great for me and 4.5% well worth having.Scrooge_McDuck86 said:

No one on here needs warning of none issues with Ulster Bank.Scrooge_McDuck86 said:Word of warning to anyone looking at the currently top rated IA Savings accounts for a Chase replacement, check Ulster's Trustpilot reviews before jumping in... barge... pole...
Those reporting problems are problems of their own making.
The account operates as described, if people take the time to understand what is required and how to operate the account effectively.
Might not be the account for those who expect everything to happen instantly, but there are no more issues than with any other established high street bank you might encounter.0
