Chase Boosted Saver
BACKTOBACK
I have been banking with Chase for some time now, have a current account, credit card and a boosted savings account of 4.3%.
The boost on the savings account is due to expire in around 6 weeks time.
They currently still have the offer available for existing customers in the app to open a new boosted saver for a six month term although you cant do this if you already have a boosted account.
So my question is if i close the boosted account with 6 weeks remaining could i get a new 6 month boosted term?
It seems too obvious and easy there must be something i am missing?

It works for other companies, but I don't know for Chase since they normally pull the offer way before the end of term. Might check for myself though if no-one has tried.
They didn't block people before from switching from one boosted to another after it gave a longer term though when their 2nd boosted offer overlapped with their 1st. It doesn't mean this would work though now or because the same offer was already used.0 -
Can't have two boosted accounts would likely have to close the old account firstAndyTh_2 said:It works for other companies, but I don't know for Chase since they normally pull the offer way before the end of term. Might check for myself though if no-one has tried.

I didn't mean keeping the first one open though, I meant closing and opening. Its commonly allowed in other banks/BS35har1old said:

I can't even see the option to apply the boost on my account.
I did receive a boost within the last 12 months though, which expired a few months back, and I still have £1 in there. But all it's offering me is a 2.5% saver.0 -
Chase's Boosted Saver offers are often targeted at certain customers, so it's not unusual for some to find they have an offer within the app and others not.winkowinko said:I can't even see the option to apply the boost on my account.

I tried it, the Chase Boosted Saver offer disappeared after I closed the boosted account, so not worth trying it.
I don't mind as I just run the 2.5% after this with minimal balance and use a credit card for bills, and standing orders all on the same day, so I can move money in the day before (which the notification and upcoming payments feature is excellent for). The minimal balance is what has given me the boosted accounts offers before.2 -
Sorry it didnt work out for you. Some people on Reddit are receiving an email offering 4.5% variable for 12 months. So there is hope. Just wish Chase would be consistent and offer all existing customers the sameAndyTh_2 said:I tried it, the Chase Boosted Saver offer disappeared after I closed the boosted account, so not worth trying it.

I had the email yesterday and have just opened one. I don't expect I'll use it though as we have a number of Cahoot 5% savers and Skipton 4.75% savers.0

I ve got the chase boosted saver. Really easy to set up and a good feeder account for rsa s. Rates good and transfers are instant.1

and for direct debits, it's a savings account that can be used as a direct debit source for payment from for e.g credit card bill. It alerts you the day before the direct debit is taken the exact amount for that bill, so you can fund it from that info ready for the next day it gets taken. Allows running on a minimal balance if not good rate.0
