Hi @Coupon-mad @Fruitcake @Car1980 Thank you all for your advice. I assume that my employer has a cut from the money collected by TPS in parking fees. My employer came back to me and said that PCN has now been cancelled, but I am yet to hear about this from TPS. Parking rules in this TPS-managed car park allow for 20 minute "grace" perdio which can be used for pick ups and drop offs, and I have never breached this condition. I have not yet spoken to my MP about this, I wanted to go to the small court to stop this persistent harsssment

If you have never breached the 20 minute period, are these PCNs all double dips?

More than likely, as the OP stated they were dropped off and picked up.

@Coupon-mad Indeed, I have never breached the 20-minute period for drop offs and pick ups. Both PCNs I received quoted that I spent at least 10 hours in the TPS-managed car park.

Write and offer them a contract. Every faulty PCN received in the post will be posted back for an admin fee of £20.

Use their own contract wording as a base  :D

Or do a final 'cease and desist' warning that you will report them to the ICO by 31st October if TPS fail to put human checks in place to identify double dips and avoid obtaining DVLA data illegally.

Then report them to the ICO. This is a clear breach of the DPA principles and the ICO's Surveillance Camera Code of Practice.

Out of curiosity, what manual check do you feel would identify a double dip?

By fairly checking for ANPR captures where that car was detected between the two "AI cherry picked" images they relied upon.

Like ParkingEye did in this case:

    http://parking-prankster.blogspot.com/2016/03/parkingeye-lose-in-court-accuse-drivers.html?m=1

"Mr Mustard recreated Mrs B's journey and then made a subject access request to ParkingEye. The results show he was detected 42 times by cameras as he traversed the site.

When Mrs B made a similar request ParkingEye stonewalled her and refused to supply the data. The Prankster believes the data would have backed up her claim to have been driving around the site".

Please don't try to insult us by suggesting that the very common issue of double dip PCNs is caused by vehicles not being seen by the cameras when the driver left and returned in the middle of a 24 hour period.

They ARE detected (or at least one capture is there) but the system defaults to 'first in last out' and no human can be bothered to look because your lot make no money by doing the right thing by consumers.

I have had that confirmed by a parking firm. That is how they set the system.

Out of curiosity, what sanctions do you think should be imposed on PPCs that miss double-dips and erroneously pursue motorists?

Out of curiosity, how do you comply with your much vaunted Single Code of Practice's requirement in this regard?
