Crikey! I did 20k yesterday and 16k the day before and am very inclined not to do any today 😂 hope it was worth it!

I was on 32k by the time I took my watch off. Very sore indeed but absolutely worth it.
Drove 40 miles to station, train to London, walked to Battersea, had lunch, went to the Ramses exhibition (which was really interesting) and then walked back along the river and caught our train back with a few minutes to spare, then drove the 40 miles home. Hurrah for automatic car. Lots of tourist spots admired in passing which we would have missed on the tube and we both like walking in cities so a very enjoyable day with a good friend.
Too much wheat and caffeine consumed so I am tummy sore too. Nasty vegetables will be consumed and lots of water.
Next booked adventure is in a few weeks which involves another train journey to a different northern city and my first live music thing in about 25 years so that should be fun too.
Today was yet more stuff exiting the building, mainly from the garden and outbuildings. Had to be done, the big bins get collected on Wednesday and I had forgotten about the London trip when I booked them. I am filling the small car with charity shop stuff so I can take it all in one trip.

I’m so pleased you’re doing so many nice things 🙂 I love the tired but happy feeling after a great day out.

Amazing productivity 👏
Definitely book a few days away and a more leisurely journey when next visiting that London. Glad you had a good time. I have actually heard good things about the Ramses exhibition 😂

Sorry to jump in but have you tried cutting gluten out to help your fibro? DH cut it completely and found his fogs are much shorter. The few times he’s lapsed and really really needed to have a beer he’s really paid for it. He’s now realised the beer isn’t worth it.
Since I found out I was coeliac (7 years ago now) I’ve noticed a dramatic reduction in all my rheumatic pain as well. If wheat has given you a tummy ache then might be worth getting checked (apologies if I’m preaching to the choir here)

Thanks - it absolutely was worth it but I am paying for it now.
PIP, I stayed overnight last time I went to London, this one was specifically just a day trip for the Ramses thing with very cheap train tickets. We hadn't planned to walk but the weather was ok so we did.
Hello @Jellytotts , always good to have new people join in so thank you. You are absolutely right on gluten and fibro for me, and even more so now that I have added IBS into the mix. I did the paleo thing years ago and then experimented with what to re-introduce till I narrowed it down to wheat as a trigger - I know others with fibro who have dairy or sugar triggers. I have been properly tested and scanned because of my stomach problems, and was relieved not to have any of the really nasty gluten things, just mildly intolerant. No self control sometimes, and limited options on the train and for lunch. It could have been worse, I could have had a nice cold beer but they didn't have my AF beer of choice. The gluten free per0ni is ok if it is cold enough.
The daft thing is that I used to live on white toast with butter when I was younger so I have no idea what triggered the change.
I have posted elsewhere but the weekend was a years anniversary of my last alcoholic drink which I am really pleased with on the basis that I can't afford to drink in terms of money, weight control, and general wellbeing. The first few weeks I found difficult as I had to break the 'I deserve it' mindset but now it doesn't bother me in the least. The lovely people over on the 'cutting down on alcohol' thread here sparked the idea and supported me throughout which was really, really helpful.
Todays job is to finish filling the big bins while I have the opportunity. I really am finally at the stage now though of having been through everything and what is left is for re-homing with all the challenges that that brings. Playing guess what this tool is is hard work!

I'd like to know why some makes of bought bread are worse than others & why homemade is better but some makes of bread flour are worse than others.
