Thanks @Queen_of_the_Hive another last minute one got booked last night actually.
Tonight we are at the cinema to see the Elvis Epic thing, and then on Sunday we are going to see one of my favourite films ever on a big screen, 'The Fifth Element'. Last watched it at the cinema together when it came out in 1997 but it is one of those films that I watch regularly so I was delighted with that. One of those rare moments when FB gets its marketing absolutely right. It is a long drive and not ideal on what was already a busy weekend but I am not missing that opportunity. Really looking forward to both of these.
Dinner will be this old favourite of hairy dieters masala chicken with whatever salad I can cobble together out of the fridge, and I may still get round to making that lemon drizzle cake. I've mostly cleaned downstairs but my shoulder is now protesting so upstairs will be more of a swish and swipe job. Cats are snoring so I can't hoover yet anyway - those are the rules after all.

Suitably exhausted but both films worth the effort. I have never been a huge Elvis fan but it was excellent. I have obviously now had to listen to his music for days and am happily stuck with 'I Just Can't Help Believing' as an ear worm. Makes a change from something really annoying at least as I frequently get stuck with the muppets doing 'Phenomena' or 'Everything is Awesome' from the Lego movie as my internal hold music. I hope I haven't just jinxed myself! (do doo de doo…).
I had a brief explore of a city I hadn't been to for years before the film, and it was indeed as I remembered it. Very pretty at night with the cathedral lit up in purple lights too. Definitely an area to consider when I am ready to move.
I have more 'stuff' committed to leave over the next week and need to crack on with the prep for that. The house itself is noticeably dryer and warmer for the work that has been done which is a relief.
Lovely sunshine here although the ground is still very wet. Lots of fairly local flooding sadly but I just have a paddling pool on my north facing patio which is slowly drying out. The cats are very vocal in their objections to wet feet on the route in and out. Plenty of patches of colour showing through now which makes me happy.

So glad all the house works have had a positive effect 👏😊
I’m calling all the bulbs and primulas here, my ‘patches of prettiness’. ❤️

Just make sure that when you buy the next house that you get one that is already warm and dry! Then you can focus on the garden.

I’m glad you enjoyed the films and that you’re planning in lots of nice things for this year.

thank you everyone. The few houses I have saved on r1ghtm0ve are new builds, not a project in sight. Smaller house, smaller garden and then I might actually have some free time and cope better with the odd swerve ball my fibro throws up.
I've spent quite a lot of time sorting things in the garden and was most cross yesterday to realise I've lost quite a few things to vine weevil. First time I've really had a big problem with them and I need to do some research before I accidentally transfer any infestation to my friends garden. These are plants that came from a garden centre so I am guessing that was how they arrived last summer. I'm not planning on doing much planting and I'm resisting any new seeds. It'll be cheap annuals for colour if anything and I have enough 'free' seed for that.Hair today so no chance to play. I went from vaguely blonde stripes for the last five or so years to stripy griege last time I went (many expensive hours later) which works much better to blend my grey and natural light brown. I'm not ready to completely embrace the grey yet, especially as I am growing mine long again. My not so little darlings didn't even notice. Mind you it took three years for them to notice when I went from red to blonde!
I paid another lump for the building works which is always painful. Weather permitting they should be doing the last bit late next week.Adventuring this week is a trip on a train to an exhibition at the weekend, followed by some help to get on with things here.

Just caught up. I found a 10 year old 'new build' on right move recently with 15 acres of land and considered that perfect. No building project. I get the desire for small and easy and new.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!9
