... the beer is lovely and at about £6 for four pints its a bargain! (My tip is the Palmers 200)

The beach at West bay and along at Seatown is also really good for fossil hunting.

Do they sell the beer in bottles? :D

Have you been to any of the other Parks round there? We were wondering about Haven Littlesea?

Sorry not been to any of the others in that area.

The beer comes in 4 pint bottles, they pour it out of a cask for you into a four pinter, it has to be drunk within 24 hours but that never seemed to pose me a problem! You can also get the same beer in normal bottles but its not the same as proper flat beer!

I've been to quite a few different parks on these Sun holidays and Ruda is the only one I have gone back to, I was even thinking of paying full price to go this year and stay in one of their wooden lodges, they look REALLY nice.

I really like it there and have been there five times, the area is really nice around there and the beaches are lovely. Also close by is Ilfracombe which is nice, I liked the fudge shop down by the harbour, they make the fudge there in the shop in front of you, and it smells bloody lovely!!

I want to go back there now! Wasnt going to save the tokens this time round as were are going away in March so was gonna leave it til later in the year. Now I talk about I want to go back!

i used to holiday in Ilfracombe when i was young with my parents !

We are the same, no kids and prefer to go when the kids are at school. Been caught out a couple of times in the past though, best to go slap bang in the middle of the term so there is no danger of schools breaking up a week early/late.

We usually do one in June around my birthday and then one in October. Going to Austria in March this year so wont be taking advantage of the early lot.

  • We have been to
Presthaven sands-cleanish and a nice site(you need a car for this one)
craig tara ayr- wouldn't recomend this one nice area though.
primrose valley- we are going again so that explains that
cresswell towers(above newcastle)- probably the best one we have been to very small though.
one at withensea- only wild life we saw was a rat on the beach
serles at hunstanton - very nice site nice walks on beach to hunstanton
we got our priority form this year and are going again. cant beat a cheap holiday even though they try to take all your money in the camp.
  • I'd like to book online this year - could an old hand at this tell me if you know if you have been successful immediately, or do you still have to wait for confirmation by post/email?

Has anyone been to Butlin's Minehead on one of these £9.50 holidays? One friend says all rides at the funfair are free (with entertainment pass) another says you have to pay foe each ride which could greatly increase the cost! Can anyone confirm/deny this please?

I went to Haven Doniford last September - it was clean & tidy, staff were so helpful, kids entertainment was loved by my 2 (8 & 5) & was bearable for me! The beach was windy & probably not one for sunbathers, but was great to explore & only minutes away. The site was "quiet", pool clean & all the holidaymakers seemed to be having a good time. My only (mild) grumble is that I had to pay £1 for each go on the bouncy castle, trampoline etc. so for those of you with lots of kids, it could get pricey! I would go back anytime!

Don't know if this is true of all Haven sites.
& as for some happy ending I'd rather stay single & thin :D

Yep it confirms the date and Park, you pay by card and then later you get an email confirmation.
