As a matter of interest, does anybody know what will happen should I need to do a full reinstall on either computer? I assume the extended support will continue?

I'd start off by checking your windows system files:

I just did mine and like @SpanishBlue I was also already enrolled in their back up scheme. I use a Local sign in but have a Outlook email account, so used that. Didn't even offer me a payment or points option. Still using a Local account sign in. One Drive isn't backing anything up
and I went into Settings to make sure that I wasn't sharing anything obvious. Even deleted my Device from Microsoft settings. Enrollment status remains unchanged.
