Yep, and that prop is going to be shaved of my £5k at about 06:30am tomorrow.hoc said:A clever way for them to prop up the balance sheet for end of quarter reporting.Reported on snapshot of quarter close. Not representative and that is precisely the point.danny13579 said:
Of course. You don't think they're doing it for our benefit, do you?hoc said:A clever way for them to prop up the balance sheet for end of quarter reporting.
Nobody here had picked up on it. This isn't like any other marketing campaign to gain customers.0 -
So is it safe to withdraw yet?0

Won’t have any impact as the double entry accounting means the extra asset (cash) will be matched exactly with liabilities (customer payables).hoc said:A clever way for them to prop up the balance sheet for end of quarter reporting.Obviously. That's simple Accounting. Balance sheet size is important in Finance. How deals are done in the Business world.0 -
What I love most about these types of competitions is the lack of confirmation from the bank regarding entries, leaving a few weeks of nagging doubt at the back of my mind about TSB's ability to produce an IT system capable of recognising £5k incremental deposits correctly...and drawing results fairly. Still, only a few weeks to wait until the disappointment comes!3
