    £5,000 x 2 = 2 entries.

Where have you seen this stated, or are you just guessing the same as me?

Sounds like something my spam folder would take a look at.

Banks shouldn't be giving prizes either.

You might as well say banks shouldn't do marketing, because that is what this is.

TSB announce new savings or investment or mortgage product - might get a post or two on here.

Announce a draw, sorry - Dream Fund Prize Draw - and we're on page 4 of comments. Multiply that across press coverage and The Socials and that's a lot of eyeballs.

People like prizes, free stuff is always welcome - what's not to like?

Why ever not? If they can afford to pay outrageous salaries and bonuses, I'm sure they can afford a few prizes from the marketing budget for us mere peasants.

Anyone want to make a guess as to how many entries there will be?

There are 155 prizes to be won. Obviously 5 big ones, and 150 smaller ones (which probably still warrant the effort)

Just trying to get an idea of what the probability is of winning is. Do we think hundreds of entries or more like tens of thousands, or somewhere in between?

I'd guess 90%+ of bank staff get poor wages.

Banks should only provide banking services. Competitions and 'free' prizes (that we all pay for) are not services.

TSB is barely keeping its head above water too and I doubt this will help.

    Define "poor wages".

Why have these marketing restrictions on banks? Are they not free to maximise their return to their shareholders any way they wish?

TSB is being acquired by Santander so their financial state is rather irrelevant.

You may be correct, but a total prize draw fund of just £72,500 is a mere drop in the ocean to a bank like TSB.

For that they get attention from individuals and even a conversation in the hallowed pages of MSE. 😆

TSB would probably spend much more on advertising and promotion through the usual channels with less effect.

No. Only one entry by this route (postal entry) per customer. Not per account.
