TSB is barely keeping its head above water too and I doubt this will help.
How much do you think a single prime time TV advert costs? Or a spread in a daily newspaper?

£72,500 isn't even a drop in the ocean.

    So here's my plan, maybe?
Take 5K out of my isa to linked account, then transfer to TSB current account. Then, 48 hours later, return to my original account. Then back to isa.
    Does that sound OK?

If you plan on doing this on 29th or 30th September I think it should be fine. It needs to still be in your TSB account when the promotion ends.

    Terrible idea, don't do it.

(that's one more competitor in the draw sorted out)

  • Tempting to empty my flexible ISA for 24 hours, then pay it straight back in.
That would work only provided you have not maxed out your ISA allowance for the financial year.

    Why? It's a flexible ISA.

  • Surely it would be far easier to use the alternative option of sending a letter with your details to enter the prize draw ?

I'm doing both (don't think it breaks the rules).
