TSB Dream Fund Prize Draw (September 2025)

Me too, but you see that tiny paragraph at the bottom of the T&Cs for every draw-type competition, the one the regulators insist on, the one that says that after a certain date you can write to a given address for a list of prizewinners?ForumUser7 said:I have to say, I just accepted that I haven't won anything...
I think we've found at least one person who makes that application.1 -
There could be a million or more individual entries to this competition, and many from TSB customers who would be totally unaware even of the existence of the competition. This means that the chance of someone on here winning one of the 155 or so prises is a tiny percentage. That said it would be nice if TSB had actually acknowledge that they have relieved your entry, and maybe an automated email or notification to unsuccessful entrants. I had two entries, one postal and one depositing the £5k but obviously unsuccessful. I have entered competitions with other banks as well and a similar experience.1

I think we've found at least one person who makes that application.Requesting a list of winners is a choice anyone can make.Linking the request somehow to the MSE Forum, and implying that the request is on behalf of the MSE Forum, seems quite unnecessary, as is demanding an explanation for why it might take up to a month for winners to get notified ("Can you explain why if the draw took place on 20th October 2025 it would take a full month until 20th November 2025 before winners would be notified."), and demanding a list of winners because this would somehow prove that the draw was carried out in accordance with the rules ("how I can see a copy of the winners as I want to see that this has been carried out according to the rules").0 -
Just reading their facebook post on this promotion, someone who had 51 entries (£255k) also got nowt and said they lost out on 1 months interest, that's around £1k in interest presuming it was sitting in a high interest account prior! Ouch1

I think it would be quite difficult to enter this draw "accidentally" because people had to deposit increments of 5k in order to receive entries and they had to enter before the end of September and remain there until October. There are lots of restrictions on how much money you can transfer daily between banks (which I found, to my frustration), so I don't think there could've been that many "accidental" entries.Lens said:There could be a million or more individual entries to this competition, and many from TSB customers who would be totally unaware even of the existence of the competition. At least someone has emailed them and is trying to find out the list of winners - well done for the effort @0765peter
Hopefully we'll get a response soon.2 -
I don't doubt for a moment that you can ask for such a list.beario said:

I'm just wondering why? What would you do with it?1 -
To keep the banks honest? Especially since this draw required a financial contribution / opportunity cost to enter. And TSB unhelpfully don't acknowledge or confirm any of the entries.flaneurs_lobster said:

Remember not that long ago it became public that the McDonald's Monopoly competition was being rigged by someone involved in running the competition.
If they have confirmed to the winners then in the interests of probity and transparency its ethically good to publish the results.1 -
A list of winners is proof that such a draw took place. Otherwise these companies could just say you could win 10k in order to get a load of money put into their accounts and not actually hold a draw at all - who's to know?flaneurs_lobster said:

1) This is the TSB, do you really think that a regulated bank would conduct a fraudulent, non-existent draw? If you do think this, why would you trust them with your money?beario said:

2) The "list of winners" will consist of names and their broad geographical locations. How are you going to verify that they haven't just made this list up too?5 -
I do disagree with this statement. It did not have to be exactly £5k to enter it could be any amount above £5k or over £10k for two entries and so on. Out of 5 million customers, including current and savings accounts there must be a huge number that fit this criteria.beario said:

Will be interesting to see what comes of the complaint though.1
