TSB Dream Fund Prize Draw (September 2025)

There are probably a lot more entries than any of us thought, but I do find it a little strange that nobody here has won (and stated so).
That might just be me hoping that TSB haven't contacted anyone yet though.0 -

dammit, i meant overestimating. I'm new here, does this place not have an edit button for posts??biopolami said:
A 5k deposit into a low/no interest account and not touching until the next month? That seems pretty unique imo. If you had 5k left from your monthly salary after all your outgoings you probably already have a plan for that money to go elsewhere (like a pension), or maybe im just underestimating people's financial sense.wmb194 said:
I understand it fine. You’re the one struggling to understand the odds and that a £5k deposit isn’t the rare occurrence you think it is.danny13579 said:
But moving £5k thorough a TSB current account every month (e.g. September) wasn't enough. The deposits had to be in batches of £5k to be included.wmb194 said:Sure, but if they're using TSB for their main current and savings accounts they'll be depositing their salaries and what not. £5,000 isn't what it used to be and many people reach a point where moving £5k+ through a current account every month will happen by accident.
Anyway I'm done trying to explain this to you.
Yes - there is, though you may have to make a certain number of posts first.
On the bar at the top of your post, on the right-hand side, there should be a round circle with three dots. Click on it and you will get options to edit / delete.1 -
Don't think so. Plenty of high earners keep large floats in their current and savings accounts plus with this draw there was the free entry option and a bunch people like me (us) will have moved £5k+ in and out on 30/09 & 01/10.biopolami said:

Anyway I'm done trying to explain this to you. Also, as someone mentioned, with millions of customers, every month you're bound to have people receiving £5k+ insurance payments, inheritances, house sale proceeds, investment proceeds and the like and a natural thing to do would be to park it with your bank whilst you figure out what to do with it: regularly there are threads where people do this.In total there were only 155 prizes so you'd only need a relatively small number of entries to make your chances extremely thin.0 -
Savings account were also included.danny13579 said:

I can understand both sides of the argument (odds against us, plus the unconvinced bit) but things that I find very strange are:
1. Nobody received any kind of confirmation that their entry was entered into the draw (This happened with Halifax Saver Draw, and most others)
2. There was no notification that the Draw actually happened, and winners were picked/informed.
3. Even with NSI Premium bonds (which is on a much larger scale) you can check for prizes using your account number and you know if you have won or not, and these is a somewhat anonymized list of winners. In this case - absolute silence! People made all these deposits and then - that was the end of it.
4. The strangest part is that not a single person on this forum has claimed to win anything!
I am pulling my deposits out of TSB, using the TSB current account I opened to get some switching bonus that assures me of £100 at least (that's my win) and beyond that, I am not going to go for any such "prize draws" that TSB may have to offer in future.2 -

Yep, and that prop is going to be shaved of my £5k at about 06:30am tomorrow.hoc said:A clever way for them to prop up the balance sheet for end of quarter reporting.Reported on snapshot of quarter close. Not representative and that is precisely the point.danny13579 said:
Of course. You don't think they're doing it for our benefit, do you?hoc said:A clever way for them to prop up the balance sheet for end of quarter reporting.
Nobody here had picked up on it. This isn't like any other marketing campaign to gain customers.2 -
Just contacted TSB on their chat line and according to the operative the winners were notified by 20th November - not sure if they know that as a fact or were just repeating the T&C’s.
Really disappointed as I had 34 entries and got nothing 😫
I’ve also been entering their monthly competitions since July and received….. you guessed it nothing!2 -
Yeah, I thought I'd win at least £100 with the amount of entries I did. I find it frustrating that nobody has heard anything and we've had no acknowledgement about our entries or a prize winner list. It feels like it was fake. I won't be entering any more TSB competitions, that's for sure.0

Is it a good idea to draw the attention of a bank to the MSE Forum?1
