Thanks. I have received a reminder letter from them now to say they will take action against me if I don't pay. I will hold out and thanks for pointing those things out. I have evidence to put in front of a judge if it comes to it. Hopefully it won't, but I can imagine them being as stubborn as I am and taking it all the way.

Also, I've just read that they have to make it clear that CCTV is in operation. There are no signs indicating this is the case. I'm going back there on Thursday so will take more photos.

Read the ICO's Surveillance Camera Code of Practice as it is likely in there.

So it escalates further. Got a case escalation to debt resolution letter from them. I am now away for 3 months so am about to email to let them know that I will not be able to respond to any letters until I get back.
Would be interested to hear from any experts who have battled them in court, as it looks like it's heading that way.

No you are absolutely NOT telling them that! Stop! Eek no! Think about it. What do you think a rogue sector will do, knowing that?

Either get your post redirected to a trusted family member's address for 3 months (via Royal Mail, a perfectly normal service most diligent people do when they move house) and/or have someone open your post AT LEAST WEEKLY and email you pics.

Definitely. If you tell them you are going away, you will return to find a letter of claim, claim form and Default Judgment on the doormat when you return.
