Bed made for my mum to cat/dog sit while I'm out tomorrow night in case of fireworks (they're not very scared, just unsettled, but who knows what they'd be like with no one here).
Plumber FINALLY committed to a date. Electricians can do the same dates. Carpenter can't come until 27th. Just waiting for the carpet fitter (only urgent bit is taking it up).
Muntjac cut up and in freezer (which is now officially full!), 3/4 of a 60p 'carving pumpkin' cooked for dog food (lick mats and kongs need restocking this evening).
Dog walked. Neighbour is laying paving outside the summerhouse - he's taking up concrete slabs and using the sandstone lifted from the patio outside the garden room to replace it which hopefully will look at lot nicer. Not cheap, but worth getting done. And the concrete slabs will come in handy in the veg plot (I'm considering making a base for a cold frame, as I have the glazed half of an old door lying around).
So progress is being made.2 -
Oh Wednesday that is sad but what a lovely tribute that reading corner is - it looks so inviting.

New list:
- Add another week at least to the extended meal plan
- Get more of the panels sanded and painted on the office wall if the weather is dry enough!
- See what we can do about re-fixing the bottom panel of the office wall which appears to not be fixed currently
- Empty tomato plant pots and retrieve crocks from the bottoms
- Compost pepper plants
- Walk or drive to the community farm to see if they still have their seed swap in place (I could potentially cycle there on Saturday if the weather is good?)
- Brainstorm about house jobs to be done - remember to list electrical stuff ready to get electrician details from Mum.
- Once the online details arrive I need to fund two savings accounts that have been opened for cashback
- once the pin number arrives I need to activate the TSB card
- Once the online details arrive I need to activate the TSB app banking
- Once the online details arrive I need to fund the TSB account - £1k in, then withdraw £850 will meet the requirement AND leave my monthly spends where they need to be.
- Start looking for tester pots of suitable paint colours for the front room
- sand the front room windowsill
- buy paint for windowsill/woodwork
- once the pin number arrives I need to activate the TSB card
- Once the online details arrive I need to activate the TSB app banking
- Once the online details arrive I need to fund the TSB account - £1k in, then withdraw £850 will meet the requirement AND leave my monthly spends where they need to be.
All the above have been done.
We've also started looking for paint for the front room - albeit only online at the moment. The "perfect" option would be F&B Calke Green - but we won't be paying those prices, so looking for something as close to identical as possible.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I get F&B colours mixed by Brewers - they'll use whichever base you want. The decorator I use does the same - has colours mixed using his prefered base (I think he goes to Johnstones).1

See I wondered if you could do this - I'll have to get MrEH to check with his pal who works for Dulux - although they do a colour that's nearly the same in their Heritage range...greenbee said:I get F&B colours mixed by Brewers - they'll use whichever base you want. Called Virgin on the Ridiculous, didn't hang up in frustration at any point during the loooong half hour, and made sure I was doing some steps at the same time so at least my time wasn't entirely wastedhttps://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase
