Just had the email to say my name on here has been changed so I'm counting that as a completed OAT.
The candle vase thing was nice but not sentimental, just one of the many things my friend left behind when he lived here for a while. I won't replace it😄

Blinds are up in the bedroom (need to wipe down the marks that the handyman left on the new paintwork getting them right!), and the robot vacuum is running in there again to deal with any dust that may have made it into the carpet (he used my dust sheets, which is good, as I find very few trades actually have clean dust sheets!).

Neighbour has asked whether she can raid my bubble wrap/box collection, so hopefully some of those will be out of the house shortly. Does mean I don't think I'll fit in a supermarket shop before work, but I might nip to the petrol station for a couple of bits if I can.

Dog has been walked, and poo bags (including one dead vole and chicken bones from last night) deposited in the poo bin on the way. I do like living within a short distance of a poo bin as it means my waste bin doesn't fill up with stinky stuff. The cat's victims generally go in there, along with food waste that can't be composted. Don't tell the council ;)

Workwise I need to change my phone SIM as the old one is no longer valid (we changed providers), submit this year's pay rises for my team, and update a slide deck for a meeting next week. Probably lots of other stuff too, but I'm avoiding thinking about it.

@Rhyddid2026 Our local train station in London has a shelf for people to drop and pick up a book. I also use the local Oxfam bookshop as they have never turned books away. I'm lucky where I live I have a huge choice of charity shops. The hospital charity also runs a bookshop in case you have those options locally.

In case you didn't see it on my diary I applied for the £100 big river voucher just for opening a Santander account. You don't need to switch from another bank. Now I have 60 days to tap the debit card 30 times once it arrives... https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/banking/compare-best-bank-accounts/

I have compiled half of a huge list of OATs from June to August by rereading my journal and writing down all the ideas that it sparked. So now I just need some motivation. I will read the rest of my journal today and finish the list ready for November.

I decided to keep a closer eye on prolific for surveys as my total in October was pathetic. I'm up to over £4 today already.

I have also decided, thanks to @Blackcats recommending Diane of Denmark to restart Flylady tomorrow. This month's habit is menu planning which I think is great as the freezer is chockablock and I keep meaning to make a list of stuff to use up but then I put it off. The freezer is magic to me. I am so good at putting things in it but totally useless at defrosting things. That is OH's department here. I really ought to try harder.

I also opened this @Wanna_Bee_Free, fortunately remembered just as I was about to walk out the door that I would need to put the pin in for the first transaction, which took a bit of finding but sorted in the end. Then I remembered I should probably put some money on it too 😂
But the tapping has now commenced
