Wrong forum. You need to go to https://www.ftla.uk/speeding-and-other-criminal-offences/3

I'm sure people who are dangerous drivers, don't think of themselves in this way, it's always "other people" who are dangerous drivers.0 -

(a word of warning though - they do not suffer “fools” over there BUT are exceptionally helpful if/when you engage in a suitable manner)
Bans can be avoided - but the reasons to not ban you have to be EXCEPTIONAL
Not being able to go to social events or even work are not classed as exceptional

Usual ACPO guidance was 10% plus 2 which is 35. You meet the threshold for prosecution (again).
The whole point of the totting up system is that you learn. So if a speed awareness course and two convictions haven't assisted with that, on 9 points you need to start driving like the pope. Let's not forget 30 is there because of urban risk.
If you drive with android auto/car play, that will use GPS to remind you of prevailing speed limits with audio chimes. It'll even mute the stereo to do that... Obviously the start of a 30 zone should be signed with smaller repeaters, but street furniture is also the indication, as is set out in the highway code.
Points expire, so there should be scope for older convictions to reset (ie the actual time on 9 points to be less than first appears).

- the speed limit for that stretch of road is somewhat counterintuitive
- someone decided to put a speed camera there, where it effects little if any improvement in road safety and hence it's a prime example of a camera people will think is just there to make money
- probably the first three times, there was no warning sign at the spot of the speed camera
- my regular group finishes at 9pm, when it's dark outside for 9-10 months of the year
- I have ASD (I probably should have mentioned this originally, not sure what difference that would make)

2. Slowing traffic improves safety
3. Maybe you just missed them if your assertion is "probably"
4. Irrelevant
5. Irrelevant if you meet the standards for having a licence.6 -
First 3 points are imo irrelevant
4th point - same but could be mitigated with alternative travel
5th - be careful how you phrase/use this. It could be used as evidence that you are unsafe to be on the road
FTLA or s def the best place for accurate advice.
Bear in mind a ban isn’t on the cards yet - so best not to try and deal with “what ifs”1 -

This is on a main radial road out of a city, it's a dual carriageway flanked by non-residential buildings and green space, and the road layout is such that there would practically never be pedestrians at that spot.Johnersh said:If you drive with android auto/car play, that will use GPS to remind you of prevailing speed limits with audio chimes.
