DCB Legal ParkingEye (Client intends to proceed)
Hope you're good.
I've been following along with this thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4816822/newbies-private-parking-ticket-old-or-new-read-these-faqs-first-thankyou and this thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6576400/dcb-legal-parkingeye-court-claim/p3.
I've filled all my paperwork (content of defence) and sent it off via email as explained in the 2 threads i've linked above. Having returned from holiday on the weekend I had this letter in the post that DCB Legal intent to proceed with the claim with a N180 directions questionnaire attached.
I've attached a photo of the letter they sent, is this the normal procedure and what would be my (the) next steps?
Im a little lost on what to do moving forward and would appreciate any advice, please

Follow the 8 steps in the defence template thread in announcements, first, so you should have been expecting that letter, now wait for the CNBC to send you one and keep following the 8 steps
I would download it and fill it in , ready for emailing when the paper one arrives, as explained by me to another victim over the weekend

The 8 steps should stop you getting lost. Go back and re-read them at each stage.
And to you and all drivers in your family: please please the Public Consultation if you haven't done it yet.
See this thread - bookmark it now and come back: -We need every poster to come back & complete this vital Consultation before the deadline! Just 2 weeks left but please don't rush it. You can do some then save it and come back to it as you have time.
And we understand that you may need some pointers.
I'm taking a closer look this week and we'll walk you through it. I should have all the first post 'how to respond to each question' advice ready by the end of this week.
There are vital points to safeguard motorists interests to make, that many people won't think of/need focus. There won't be a template - the survey is for you to reply in your words - but we'll help everyone with what to focus on.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hey @Gr1pr & @Coupon-mad -- thanks to you both for the advice / next steps, I will dive into it now. Also just realised I didn't blur out all my info in the photo uploaded, apologies.
Thanks again -- I will also look into filling out the Public Consultation form.3 -
Morning,
I have a few questions regarding the N180 DQ. I have already downloaded a copy and filled it out (most of it).- Do I actually have to wait for the CNBC to send me the N180 DQ form? And once they do just email my already filled out one to them?
- On the top of the form just above my claim number is says "name of court" do I put "Civil National Business Centre" ?
- "About The Hearing - Hearing Venue" do i just google local small claims court near me and put that address here?

1. If DCB have sent you a copy you're good to send yours.
2. Yes
3. Yes2 -
1) Ideally, yes, wait for the MCOL claim history to say its been posted , then email your already downloaded and filled in pdf document to the DQ email address
2) I thought you left it blank, but you definitely nominate your own local civil court
3) yes, use Courtfinder to find it2 -
Thanks @Car1980 & @Gr1pr.
Yes the DCB have sent me theirs (filled out) but no one has sent me a blank one via post or email, which I assumed I would get and that I should just download my own copy, fill it out and wait for one to get to me and then send my pre filled one.
This is the current status on my claim:
am I supposed to wait for this to update before sending mine or it doesn't really matter?
Thanks again.0 -
Personally I would wait until the claim history shows that it's been posted ( not received by you, just posted )
Only the CNBC can tell you if it really matters, so why bother, just follow the laid down process is my opinion, because we know that following the steps and process works
Personally I dont care if it really matters
You will also notice that the n180 has not been filed yet by the claimant either, so neither are logged2 -
This is the current status on my claim:

Hey again,
I'm just messaging to be cautious and on top of things.
The letter I received from DCB Legal is dated 12/08/2025 "Client intends to proceed with claim" with an attached N180 that they have filled out.
On MCOL my current status is still as above - does it usually take this long to update, have I missed something or I simply just wait until it's been updated and then move onto the next step?
Thanks

You honestly need some patience.
There is no rush
