iWeb Change to Scottish Widows

It is 19th October and the change over has not started as promised. I cannot say that is loss. Indeed, it might be postponing a real mess.Enzo_L said:" IWeb is joining the Scottish Widows family
From 18 October you’ll see IWeb start to move over to Scottish Widows Share Dealing. Your log in details and account number will stay the same. Plus, you’ll soon be able to enjoy the convenience of the Scottish Widows app.
We’ll keep in touch along the way, so you’re always in the know."
The above is the message on the IWeb front page.
They didn't say everything would change on 18th October. They said it would start from 18th October.
Nothing has changed today, so there's nothing for them to communicate about. I don't see how this is shockingly bad or evidence of a failed switchover.

Not obvious to me that anything has gone wrong so far, the ability to log in again was possible before midnight yesterday as they had said, and they said they would start to move over to Scottish Widows Share Dealing on 18th October. They say on the iweb websiteHow will I log in?Keep logging in as usual for now through your IWeb account. After the change, you’ll get a new login page, but your login details won’t change. We’ll guide you to the new pages (like the login screen). Just remember to update any saved links after the change.and
What do I need to do?
Nothing for now. Just keep using your account as normal. If you don’t have one, you can still apply. So it's a case of logging in as normal through iweb until they tell us it's time to switch over to the Scottish Widows website and then they will guide us to the log in screen presumably.

I agree with the above. From the communications I received and saw online, I was just expecting the old site to be taken down for maintenance on Saturday, which happened as expected. Presumably that was the first step towards moving over. I'll carry on as usual until I receive some communication that the new site is ready, or am "guided" to the new pages.5

The email is pretty clear and everything suggests failed migration.
"From 18 October 2025 you can log in and view your account(s) on the Scottish Widows website" (doesn't work - endless load)
"IWeb Share Dealing will become Scottish Widows Share Dealing on 18 October"

I must have missed that email then. I've been following announcements on the website and no such statements have been made there. Seems most likely to be an issue with the team who wrote the email.Edit: The maintenance notice stating: "From 18 October you'll see IWeb start to move over to Scottish Widows Share Dealing" has been in place for a week, so it is not like there has been a last minute change of plan... https://web.archive.org/web/20251011113600/https://www.iwebsharedealing.co.uk/_mem_bin/Formslogin.asp4

What we do know, I think, is that iWeb did say that the switch to SW would be from 18th Oct., suggesting that either (i) customers would be migrated over in batches starting on that date, rather than all at the same time, or (ii) that they would commence the migration process in the backgound on that date and move all customers to SW simultaneously on a future date when they have made all the necessary preparations. Either way, it appears there is no cause for concern!1

I received the email on 6th October stating it would all happen on 18th October and that we could login to SW at that time.masonic said:I must have missed that email then. Then again, the above email suggests otherwise! My conclusion for now is that iWeb is still working and, as long as I have access to my account, whether it be iWeb or SW, I have no concern.4

As someone who has only recently switched over to iweb I didn't get an email to say I could log in from 18th October on the Scottish Widows website.Futuristic said:The email is pretty clear and everything suggests failed migration.

"IWeb Share Dealing will become Scottish Widows Share Dealing on 18 October""If you’re a new customer, you might not receive all our direct communications."
Anyhow as I and others stated above as long as old iweb still works no issues for me, will just wait for further comms or maybe they will put the new SW stuff live during working hours next week3
