walks in this glorious Spring weather are so uplifting. Today we took a flask of tea on our walk on a nearby common and it was wonderful to hear the birds including a woodpecker.

Well done on tackling the admin tasks. I hope they both have positive outcomes.

Also, I hope the decision made about your sister is the best decision for her (and her family)

No spend day yesterday and AF Day. Unexpected and fruitless trip to urgent care as my father's ankle ulcer that has been great for ages is hot and inflamed. Triage only as all full. Back home late after a late roast dinner. Really didn't enjoy it. OH forgot to return my father his card so we had to turn around and repeat part of the journey. No progress on plans for funeral, or the other important forms. Today is visiting the job centre and job hunting but may end up in a return trip. At least petrol isn't too dear at the moment. Is it too early for tears and gin?

Two long holding sessions for the doctor's surgery later and a call to his carers and he has a nurse appointment this afternoon and someone who isn't me to take him. In other news holiday pot depleted by £119 for two Edinburgh train tickets. 2 Vinted sales £3 and prolific balance £11.90 makes £14.90 so far. £104.10 to go.

you've got so much going on. Tears and gin is tempting but yes, it's too early for that so I prescribe tea and biscuits. A little cry is ok but you are doing so well that I hope you feel better soon.
Just over £100 to go for your escape tickets.

Is a paid bank account switch feasible for either you or your OH or both of you? I've done 2 and it's quick, lucrative and fairly painless.

Thanks Blackcats, I feel a bit more positive this afternoon, I think it was the urgent care visit last night being so pointless and then the holding for the GP reception this morning. I know it has been a really tough 5 weeks for me (and my OH and father too of course!) and it's not surprising. The tears and gin was an attempt at a joke. A couple of surveys done. OH had a fit of enthusiasm with cleaning our downstairs windows and I got through an appointment at the job centre so life admin tackled. At this rate OH and I might have our council tax support sorted before I can do it for little sis, our stuff is so much easier to do as everything is accessible and quick and easy to find.

My father's appointment with the nurse went well, he doesn't need antibiotics but he will need a follow up appointment next week.

In exciting money news Vinted up to £3.50 and surveys £14.30 so £17.80 total and only £101.20 to find to get back up to where I was.

Switching is a good idea, thanks Blackcats. I have a spanish bank account I signed up for the gift voucher and tapped away for. I could move that one if there are any good deals. Income requirements might be tricky to meet at the moment. I might need to create/move a direct debit or two around.

You can get round the income into bank account by moving money between accounts to get to the level needed.

Vinted £3.50 and surveys £16.93 so £20.43 total and only £98.57 to pay for our train tickets.

Pub quiz last night I paid admission for 2 (£5) and a soft drink £4.30. We came second this time after losing in a dramatic tie break. First time the quiz host has used it in 6 months of this quiz. I also bought some new trainers. I looked on V1nted and Bay of E first but no joy. Checked for deals but in the end just bought them. Loyalty discount next pair I need at least.

Today I am out tonight for my hobby meet up and will be buying a pub dinner. I feel guilty with our lack of income but have only seen these friends once so far this year. I probably need to skip a few next month but hopefully will enjoy tonight.

Vinted £3.50 and surveys £18.90 so £22.40 with £96.60 to pay for train tickets.

A fun but expensive evening, £14.50 on a pub meal.

Planning for a much needed no-spend today.

I caught a few more surveys. Only £95.50 to go. Yesterday was a no-spend day.

Little Sis was moved to a psychiatric hospital. It will be hard for my father to visit as the lift is out of order. Waiting to hear this morning if she can come out for the funeral or not. If she comes we will need to sort accommodation and plan food better. My father wanted to go there and back in one day on Monday but that won't work for her. I have mixed feelings. It will be odd going without her and odd for her watching on a screen. It will be hard work emotionally/diplomatically for me if she comes. I am feeling tired and anxious and my back hurts from too much time in the car and on uncomfortable seats.

But in really good news I believe I now have everything needed for my father's blue badge renewal. Except an A4 envelope. I will have a look here and see if I can shop from home first. I dread to think what the stamp will cost!
