The Private Parking Act completed al stages and yet is still not an effective instrument due a successful ATA lobby and inept development of the statutory CoP. In theory the Housing, Communities and Local Government (HCLG) Committee - a cross-party House of Commons select committee in the UK Parliament - should exercise its core mandate to scrutinize the policy, administration. In practice it is just one of the many talking shops that cost a fortune and deliver nothing of value.

@patient_dream Im sorry that was your understanding of the petition and the debate. The opening speaker made it clear this debate was about all Bills and how parliament looks to avoid a repeat of what happened to the assisted dying Bill.

Except the video which isn't on the same page as the robust Open Letters, runs through a list of burdens for motorists (consumer blame styleee), misses the point entirely about why the industry is being regulated/letting people know what sort of traps to watch out for - rogue conduct - and sounds like Will Hurley wrote the narrative!

It even says "appeal or pay up"!
