I got cold feet when I could not find a provider who accepted a transfer in from CMC Invest!
I wonder if this has to do with them not fully FSC registered? This is very scary as I have well over £20k in there!
I'm seriously considering withdrawing it all to be on the safe side.
It occurs to me that putting a chunk of it in my CHASE SAVER (5% for 1 year) is a better option (just stay below the interest tax threshhold).
Any thoughts or observatios/suggestions?
Realise this was a few weeks ago but did you manage to find a solution to your query?I will be in a similar position soon when my bonus rate drops from my CMC Invest Cash ISA and am searching for an ISA provider who will accept a transfer in from CMC. As yet I haven’t found one!The interest rate was great and still will be good after the bonus ends and opening the account and transfer in (from Monument) was all positive.Just looking ahead and looking for options when I need to move the cash ISA.I would not be looking to simply withdraw and lose my tax free status on savings as you mentioned you were considering.Has anyone else found a provider to transfer into easily from CMC Invest?0 -
3 working days to transfer from monument to shawbrook
now why couldnt that happen when i transfered from virgin to monument
ive now took a 12 month 4.31% knowing my luck the rates will start to rise
shawbrook informed me everystep of the way what was happening, which is good to know0 -
Skipton to Coventry, 5 working days, no problems.
Only slight gripe - Skipton's annoying "Electronic Payment Statement" emails, which they've sent me for two separate account numbers, despite me only transferring one ISA. The extra one is for an account I closed ages ago! Definitely some gremlins in Skipton's system.0 -
Plum Cash ISA to CMC Invest Cash ISA:
Requested at 21:30 on Thu 14/08/2025. Money received into CMC at 17:19 on Fri 22/08/2025. So about 6 working days.0 -
Moneybox to Chip.
Transfer requested 27/08/25 @ 3.57pm
Transfer completed 29/08/25 @ 1.32pm
Less than 48hrs despite quoting 15 days on application. You're Damned If You Do & You're Damned If You Don't :doh:0 -
My recent Cash ISA transfer from Tembo to Charter was very slow.
Digital application made with Charter on 12th Aug. Money transferred on 29th Aug (12 working days).
No complications but paper request forms required in the process.0 -
Transfer into Coventry. Getting the paper form from them to sign seems to be slow. I don't know whether that's down to them or the post service. Once they get it they can handle the transfer very quickly - quicker than Tembo who seem to take a couple of working days to process the receipt of funds.
