ISA transfer experiences

My most recent experiences.
First the bad and the ugly:
- Monument to Santander. The request had to be made on paper, which I handed in to a friendly Santander employee in Branch. 6 weeks later, there had been nil progress as the form apparently "didn't reach the right department" (in Santander). This means I missed out on their 4.25% 1 year fix and the £50 bonus. Santander Complaints have not been able to trace the whereabouts of the original but assure me it's not left Santander and therefore there is no data privacy issue. Their solution ("just apply again") and their compensation offer is unsatisfactory, so the case will be on its way to the FOS as soon as Santander get their final decision to me in writing.
- Monument to YBS. Monument just rejected the transfer request, without giving a reason. YBS tell me they followed up and asked for a reason, just to get ignored. Monument were also not willing to tell me why they rejected the transfer request. They have now upheld my formal complaint and paid me compensation.
Now the positive ones:
- Vida to Paragon. Applied online late in the evening of Monday, June 30. Transfer fully completed Friday July 4th. 4 working days - brilliant.
- Tembo to Vida: applied late on Thursday, June 19th. Transfer fully completed Friday June 27. 6 working days - very good
- Monument to Tembo: Applied late on July 2nd. Funds showing in Tembo lunchtime July 7. Less than 3 working days - impressive! Looks as if Monument have finally got their act together.

I thankfully don't have any horror stories to share. Recent experiences went smoothly - Skipton fixed-term ISA matured, partial transfer to a new fixed-rate with Virgin, completed within 5 days. Tried to transfer the rest to Trading 212, who informed me that the transfer was held up because Skipton "didn't have my signature on record" (not sure why they'd allowed the Virgin transfer to go through earlier!). Quick exchange of messages with Skipton's customer support and it was all sorted, money arrived at Trading 212 within 2 days.0

Tried to transfer my cash ISA from CMC Invest now the bonus rate is ended.
I got cold feet when I could not find a provider who accepted a transfer in from CMC Invest!
I wonder if this has to do with them not fully FSC registered? This is very scary as I have well over £20k in there!
I'm seriously considering withdrawing it all to be on the safe side.
It occurs to me that putting a chunk of it in my CHASE SAVER (5% for 1 year) is a better option (just stay below the interest tax threshhold).
Any thoughts or observatios/suggestions?0 -
