Time to banish the debt.

ignore the guilt. It’s misplaced. Are the small number of ridiculously wealthy people who are hiking up prices on food, water, energy, fuel to increase their already extortionate profits feeling guilty that they are pushing people into unmanageable debt in order to keep afloat? No. Likewise banks and financial institutions.

My second week of defaulting on my debts and I've had a few phone calls and some text messages, which have all been sent to spam, I've had a letter from Hastings, they seem to be the ones making the most noise. Still feel happy with my decision.

it will ebb and flow. Some weeks I get a bunch of post and a flurry of emails and other weeks I don’t get anything at all. It’s all automated so don’t stress too much about it if you can help it :)

this is what I keep having to remind myself, that it's mostly computer generated. Have you got any defaults yet?

I think so but waiting for a printed copy of my credit report as transunion have blocked me from accessing it online. 🫣
Over six months into the process though and only just starting to default. Some aren’t even nearly there!

I have just received a phone call from the financial ombudsman who is dealing with my complaint that I sent back in May. He wanted some more information as to why I feel they did not do the correct checks, I felt a bit on edge. I know they didn't act responsibly but I found that I couldn't explain why, hope I've not messed up my chances. Has anybody else had the same and what was the outcome?
