Well done on all the clean carpets and clear floor redo!
I had another item sell on Vinted so got that posted sharpish this morning.2 -
Grated a whole lot of courgette in the food processor and froze it, as well as making a courgette gratin (part eaten, the rest cooling in the hope that it will freeze/defrost/reheat OK). Laundry done. Watering mostly done with washing up water! Just need to water a couple more things and turn off irrigation before my final meeting of the day.2

Had a quick wipe around the inside of the oven. No point letting it sit there OATing at me until I can do a thorough job and it's got mankier, at least it's been improved3

My office has been tidied, lots of paper recycled and rubbish thrown out, and as I can't hoover while listening to a meeting I'm participating in later, I have swept the floor - about half a labrador is now in the bin (not the live bits, he's on holiday while I'm working US hours).4

I finally took old batteries to the supermarket for recycling. Been meaning to do that for at least a year.
I also painted some of my kitchen because the new microwave makes my 90s kitchen look even worse.Debts 04/01/25 02/08/25

Window cleaner came today and has agreed to do the insides next time (they're filthy from DIY/decorating/cats/dogs/my attempts at cleaning them). Then I need to find out whether he'll do the greenhouse and the solar panels...
I've also discovered that there's a 20kg washing machine outside at the petrol station up the road, so I'm hoping it's free tomorrow morning and I'll go there on the way to do a CS drop-off and stick the dog beds that won't fit in my WM in there. They should dry OK at home (although I may have to take a couple back there for a trip in the. TD to fluff them up!). The rest of the dog/cat bedding has been washed and is in the TD making the most of the solar.2 -
@greenbee - you're not supposed to use the machines for animal blankets etc as it leaves hair etc behind in the machine. We've got one of those machines at our local SM and couldn't use it a while back as someone had used it to wash a horse blanket.
It really isn't fair on the others to use these machines for animal stuff. No one wants dog hair, horse hair etc on their clothes.2 -
I wash all my pet stuff in a bag designed for pet bedding, otherwise my own machine would be clogged up permanently.
I'll see whether they have any restrictions, but the pet hair all comes home with me and gets shaken out in the garden (and I shake/brush/hoover first). I'd rather not use commercial machines as they'll stink of the horrible highly-scented detergent that everyone seems to insist on using, but as the alternative is to keep throwing bedding out and replacing it, I want to try to get them washed.
If anyone else is having issues with pet hair in washing machines I thoroughly recommend getting a bag and the sticky things that attract any stray hairs.5
