I've written another official letter to help my elderly relative who was feeling a bit over whelmed by officialdom. The local authority department we need to deal with don't have phones and my elderly relative doesn't do emails.Sorted out our car insurance and also helped a friend do theirs. Both went through £co so I expect I'll be off to The Maldives when all this cashback gets paid. My friend said I can keep the cashback but I think it's fairer to split it when it eventually arrives.5

I didn't list anything else anywhere today, other than a garden thing for free on fb00k (hopefully being collected tomorrow)
I did, however, sort out some queries on DH's tax return, so have finally managed to submit it - yay! And do some more sorting/ tidying with DS2 - quite a few things recycled/ binned and 1 thing added to the 'for sale' pile 😊 and some other bits of life admin - it's been quite a bit of a paperwork type day 😁

Kitchen blinds are up - I got the measurements right
So I now have privacy/light filtering blinds everywhere I need them in time for next week's heatwave.

Well done Blackcats, greenbee and greent, some really big OATs there!
Penniesintopounds thank you so much for the idea of setting a time, I'm so glad you suggested it as I've been too scared of selling on Vinted. Completely irrational, no idea why. The first sold item left the house yesterday and I have four more sold so just two left. Slight sellers regret on the low prices because they've sold quickly. I would have donated them to a charity shop anyway. Now I've broken the start I feel so relieved to see some space appearing in my wardrobe.

Great news on all the sales @Wanna_Bee_Free. I sometimes think I should have priced things higher when they sell quickly - but have to remind myself that a quick sale is better than something being listed for 2 months at a higher price and then being donated! I've got a bunch of things on fb00k and if they don't go by the end of the summer hols they will be donated - so I'm going to try reducing some of the prices first!I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £205

I have packed and printed labels for three things I've sold on vinted. I had to go old school and print the labels myself at home, because I didn't trust my brain to learn how to do yet more new things with apps and phones. Maybe once I'm a bit more confident. I also had notes written down on a post it, because long covid and perimeno are a lethal mix! It probably didn't help that two of the things are almost identical and I kept thinking I'd send the wrong thing to the wrong person. I still have to go to the local shop and figure out the two different ways of posting them. I think I deserve cake for this.
Someone local has opened a cake shed in her garden on weekends, with homemade cakes and cookies. I'm all about supporting local businesses, specially when they are edible!Debts 04/01/25 02/08/25

Loving the idea of supporting a local small business by eating cake, @rachmac3!
I've dealt with a big, long term OAT today - the phone bills for the eldest 2 children have been transferred into their names/ paid from their bank accounts! DD is 28 later this year and I've totally paid her bill since she moved out 4 months ago (she used to add it to her rent) - she offered to pay me back, but I told her to put the equivalent in her wedding fund (she and fiancé are just starting to look at venues etc) It took a visit to the O2 shop in the city centre by all 3 of us and then a communal phone call when back home of 38m, 32seconds to sort it!
One thing listed for sale on faceb00k today and 5 more put in the kitchen ready for listing on V1nted and flebay - might not happen today, though!I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £205
