I've actually managed to change the catflap batteries the first time I saw they were running down rather than waiting for it to go offline.
Replacement water filter is out, but I need to find a bucket so I can change it.
I still have plants that need planting, but can't take advantage of the cooler weather as Stinky needs full supervision at the moment. He's being VERY good, but had a few issues yesterday (which resulted in going back to the vet last night and again this morning, and he has double appointment with the cat on Thursday). I've ordered another set of PJs (this one doesn't fit very well and it also needs washing). Despite having an inflatable doughnut, he can just about get his nose under the edge of the PJs so he'll have to wear the cone overnight (he didn't need it last night as he had a dressing on). I'm hoping I get a reasonable night's sleep tonight as I was up every couple of hours checking up on him last night.3 -
I did my meter reading and did contact the local charity, but they had a flood and can't take donations at the moment. I'm going to have to take this stuff to the tip, which is such a shame. Tried Olio for some of it but people requested then didn't collect. Grrrrr!!

Hope you and Stinky have a restful night @greenbee
That's frustrating @rachmac3 but well done for enquiring. Is it worth putting on FB Marketplace as a job lot? Or would you be able to take it to charity shops a couple of bags at a time?
Make sure to give those olioers the ratings they deserve! Have you switched it back to active listings in case someone can collect in the meantime?

@PennysIntoPounds it was a few weeks ago so the listing ended and it says I can't put it back on. I could try FB marketplace though. There are no charity shops in my valley and the two that are closest (about a 25min drive) say they are not taking household items (or electricals, or books etc) any more. They didn't even want a brand new still in the box modern dinner set that I tried to give them a few months ago. I'll give it one more try before I take it to the tip. I'm going to book a few days off work in July to have a big sort out including the garden and shed, and do a few tip runs.
What OAT can I do tomorrow? I think I'll start a bag for the charity clothes bin. That way I'll be definite about what I will keep to sell too. That OAT is also related to the Pile Behind The Door that I didn't get around to sorting in May.Debts 04/01/25 01/07/25

@rachmach3 on olio go into 'my listings', click on the expired ad, and it should have an option to 'relist'. It can be a bit random as to whether it appears at top of listings others see or goes back to its place where it was but at least it'll be active for others to find.
I sold a dinner set on vinted, obviously well below value but better than tip!1 -
Really? Amazing! I'll have a look this evening. I do wonder if part of the problem was listing everything as free. People didn't feel it was worth turning up for them maybe, but might have been more inclined if they thought they'd spotted a bargain for a couple of quid.

Olio's a funny old place @rachmach3, people don't like paying for anything and then they don't show up if it's free! Block the no-shows so they can't see your listings and muck you around again, unless they had a genuine excuse you believed! Is there a car boot that would be accessible to you for a one-off trip?1
-
I have been considering a car boot if I can find a nice one not too far away (and not too early). I can only leave the dogs for about 4h max so needs some planning. I have a lot of my Dad's stuff that would sell at a boot sale too, small figurines etc. They aren't doing well at the auction. Honestly, so much to sort out in my house (and his storage unit) it's no wonder my head hurts! Some of this stuff is my best friend's too, from when he lived here. He moved out and left a lot of his stuff behind in lieu of rent money.

I thoroughly enjoyed today's task which was to make up a basket of wool to give a granddaughter who wants me to teach her to crochet, I bought her a gorgeous basked with her name on it and I've made her up small balls of wool from my stash. I would absolutely have loved to receive this when I was her age and I hope she will too.
I also packed up 2 bags of clothes and shoes and took them to the charity shop.5
