I've been a member for 25 years and have used it as my main current account, but had less than £100 in savings in March, so failed to qualify.

    I feel a bit short-changed (excuse the pun).  :/
The criteria has been the same for 3 years now, putting £100 in their regular saver purely for speculative purposes would have been easy
    It was.
I guess I didnt pay enough attention.
Personally I didnt realise the £200 had to be in a separate savings account.  Silly me.

Dammit I didnt realise I needed a savings account too! :(

The criteria has been the same for 3 years now, putting £100 in their regular saver purely for speculative purposes would have been easy to do. Even if it's not your main account, bouncing £500 in and out and making a couple of card payments (carrots are the cheapest I found) takes a couple of minutes of time
    Clearly.
However that information is only useful IF you were aware! ;)

You really really should have a Flex Regular Savings account - even if you aren't regularly saving...

    Wait until June 21st then:
    Option 1:
Open a Flex regular saver account, and drop £100 in it.
Then leave it until next year - £100 deposited at a better than instant access rate.

    Option 2:
Open a Flex regular saver account, and drop £200 in it.
On the first of each month drop £200 in it

Note that with the Flex regular saver account:
    - The month starts on the 1st, You don't have to wait until the "account anniversary" to pay in the next £200.
(Hint - opening the account at the end of the month and paying in on the 1st for the 2nd and subsequent payments, will earn you more interest)
    - You can make 3 withdrawals from the account during the term
    - You can replace money withdrawn in the same month (the rule is "Your balance can't increase more than £200).
I've used those two "rules" at the end of the tax year - withdraw the money, drop it in a flexible cash ISA before the end of the tax year, then withdraw from cash ISA after the start of the new tax year and redeposit in the regular saver - bingo - I've just "moved" £1400 of last year's ISA allowance into this year.

Just had a look in the app and a big banner saying " you lucky person you,  we've decided  to give you 100 quid because your lovely on top of the 50 smackaronneys you already have"  or somthing like that.

    I had an email, too.

I wouldn't have qualified if not for the threads on this site, wouldn't have even known about it. Cheers! :)

Sure but it's been on this forum every year and the running thread "how to ensure you qualify" explains it + the previous published criteria which hasn't changed
    I know that!
    I did say silly me.......
