I was wondering the same, but think I will give it a go once mine has been switched over (should be around 30th as that's when my cash back is usually paid).  as I've got a regular saver maturing this weekend and may use the edge saver as somewhere to stick that money for a while and benefit from that interest rate as well.

My 123 Lite was a (joint) household bills account. I have now transferred all my DDs that attract cashback to my full fat 123. My fee and cashback are around 6th. My 123 Lite did not transfer on 21st. Still waiting. Maybe it will be on 6th Sept?

Those that have been changed, check your address, after my change my address on paperwork has switched back to an address I was at about 15 years since, not done anything else with the account since the change.

Had totally forgotten about this. Just came here to check when he date is & noticed it was last week.

My cashback date was 26th & everything was paid up to me ok so looks like it's time to move everything out of there & re-do direct debits.

I ran the calculator & I can still make a quid & pence each month but I'm not faffing about for that amount.

I'd argue there is less faff involved in changing your Santander account to an Edge than moving the direct debits to another account (or accounts) and updating any standing orders and faster payments.

How much will you earn from the direct debits being paid from a different account?

Faff will depend on an individuals view on it so mine wont be yours.

I'll be earning what I said - quid and pence. Somewhere around £1.13 I think it was.

My Lite is still alive. I was charged £2 today, and expect to get some cashback tomorrow, as I always got the cashback the day after the fee got taken.

I meant how much will you earn for your direct debits being paid from a non Santander account.

You can get £1.13 by leaving everything setup as it is now, but change/upgrade the 123lite/everyday account to Edge.

I know what you meant but it was possibly a pointless question (unless other accounts offer cashback on direct debits in which case I suppose it wasn't but I'm not sure if there are any others offering this).

I'm also baffled why you appear to be trying to convince me to stick with Santander & their other accounts.

I know exactly what they're going to pay me & I've already said this isn't worth it to me.

If it's worth it to you then that's great. I'm not here trying to convince anyone to do the opposite of what they said they're going to do.

    Pros and cons.

Yes I'm doing myself out of an amount that'll get me almost 4 sit-in coffees a YEAR
But it'll be one less account to manage & these days the less plates I have spinning the better.
