    Have I acted too hastily?
My cashback & fee date is 13th.
After they were paid 13 Aug, I moved my DDs elsewhere, expecting account to convert to Everyday on or after 21st.

I’m now wondering if I should have left them in place. Would that have generated another month’s cashback?
And will I now incur pro rata fee until Santander convert my account?

Got converted to an Everyday Account this morning, as it was still a Lite yesterday.  my cashback date was the 24th.  Got everything I was entitled to cashback wise, no new monthly fee.

"Upgraded" my account to an Edge.  I know about the Zopa account but I used to get £7.50 a month gross cashback (£5.50 net, so even with the £3 fee I'm still £4.50 up if nothing changes*) , and I see Zopa is capped at £30 a year direct debit cashback.

(*quirk of the system as it looks like all direct debits to the council whatever they're for attracts cashback though it was intended juts for Council Tax - I used to get cashback on household insurance paid to the council, but they've farmed that out, and I've always had cashback on social housing rent as well, so I've done quite well out of 123.  Whether Edge has the same quirk of the system remains to be seen but I think it will)

Also opened the Edge Saver at 6%.

My cashback and fee came on the same day. So have I paid an extra month's fee in advance of next month and now won't receive that cashback?

Have you used the cashback calculator to check what you should get?

    https://www.santander.co.uk/personal/current-accounts/santander-edge-current-account

Edge pays 1% cashback on household bills whereas 123 lite paid, 1%, 2% and 3% depending on the category so I'd expect you to get less cashback with Edge.

123 only got 3% on water with the last raft of changes, 1% on the other stuff and 2% on energy.
The difference is only £1.50 for me a month for me, so I lose a whole pound on energy cashback, and 50p on water, but I think that's only over 10 months anyway.

This is more about whether the quirk of the system still applies on the cashback.  If it doesn't there isn't any point in my keeping this account.

I opened an Edge Saver on 4 Aug 25.  Am I correct in saying that the interest will be applied on 4th of each month following?

    Thanks

    The fee is in arrears.

Forgot to post but mine has changed to everyday too now after I got my cashback and there was no monthly fee taken.  I'm going to leave it as everyday and see how things go. Just means no more cashback.

No fee taken? That seems different to other people's experience. My fee was taken the same day as the cashback appeared. But as it's in arrears, not a problem. You've made a £2 gain!
