Edge Saver pays monthly interest on anniversary of opening account. That is why a 5.84% interest is quoted. You can then withdraw this monthly interest if you have the full balance of £4000 and reinvest this interest payment each month which will result in compounding of interest realising a higher AER figure (Annual). If you have eg a balance of £2000 you do not have to do a monthly withdrawal, simply leave the interest payment in the ES and it will compound.
For those with a full balance of £4000 remember to withdraw once a month because no interest is earned on balances over £4000.
This monthly payment of interest can be at weekends and bank holidays.

I have just CASS'd my Santander 123 Lite over to Nationwide - they started the process last week and my bank account closed today (4th).
All the usual direct debits went out in July as normal. I usually get my cashback on the 2nd (even when it lands on a weekend) but didn't get it this month.
I tried "talking" to the help (hmm) -bot Sandi but it was no use, so I am waiting for a human to get back to me.
Has this happened to anyone else?

If you read the thread, I think you will find that something similar did happen to someone else.

    Thank you harz99
I'd also meant to ask in my post (but clearly got distracted by something shiny) how others had found the customer services when asking about absent cashback, however no need now because:
    - they actually replied pretty quickly once I got past the bot
    - I had mis-interpreted (made assumptions about) the specifics for earning cashback - the DDs needed to be live/active on the cashback date, but my switch had already started by then so mine were not. So I miss out on one last £4.50ish... ah well.
Adiós Santander, I have enjoyed my 10 years of cashback
