I've just logged on to my water and energy suppliers and reduced my DDs back down to a low as they'll let me, as my last cashback DDs have gone out today.

Should get my last cashback on 13th
How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)

I reckon with Edge i will make about £4.60 profit a month in the 10 months a year that I pay council tax. So I will switch to that. I use Zopa for DD's that Santander don't pay cashback for.
By switching to 12 monthly payments on the council tax you could also earn a little more interest on the money you've not paid out before you have to.

Are there any other accounts that pay cashback of utility/bills direct debits?

Zopa has been discussed but I realised that I've already had my £30 for this year so can't benefit further by switching my DDs there.

Edge, Edge Up and Zopa are the options.

123 ('full'/not Lite) is NLA but remains for people who have it.

Thanks. Edge and Edge are not viable for the amounts of the DDs I have, and I've used up my Zopa allowance for the year. Was hoping there might have been an account I'd missed!
I have the 123 Lite (RIP).

    I'm in a similar position.

The bulk of my rewards came from energy and council tax. Octopus accept Amex online so I'll bin off my DD and pay that way instead.

Council tax is a bit tricky as my council doesn't accept credit cards and only supports PayZone, not PayPoint. I plan to get a PayZone payment card and try and find a shop willing to settle this with either Amex or more likely Edge CC. EDIT: actually just noticed they now accept credit card payments directly, so that'll be what I do.

Haven't investigated the others - I think Sky Broadband accept card payments and water bill can be paid with PayPoint (so I'll do that at the Co-op with an Amex).

Yes I'd artificially inflated my energy DD to max out the cashback, so a small silver lining is that I can start paying a more normal amount! Everything else only gave me a small amount of cashback but the monthly fiver (net) was still a plus.

I don't mind having the DDs, it was nice making a little gain form them. I haven't looked into doing credit card payments but what do you see as the advantage there? Is it a stoozing thing?

The Halifax Rewards fiver is also ending soon so suddenly my need for DDs/debit card payments is drastically reduced!

Opened Edge yesterday as it gives me a small profit after the £3 fee.  Opened Edge Saver and it says 5.84% interest not 6%?

    The AER is 6%. (1+5.84/1200)^12 = 1.05999888.

Edge Saver pays monthly interest on anniversary of opening account. That is why a 5.84% interest is quoted. You can then withdraw this monthly interest if you have the full balance of £4000 and reinvest this interest payment each month which will result in compounding of interest realising a higher AER figure (Annual). If you have eg a balance of £2000 you do not have to do a monthly withdrawal, simply leave the interest payment in the ES and it will compound.
For those with a full balance of £4000 remember to withdraw once a month because no interest is earned on balances over £4000.
This monthly payment of interest can be at weekends and bank holidays.
