Has anyone else yet tried emailing to state that they do not wish to have to transfer to Everyday or Edge?
If you read the thread, you will see that someone sent an email to the CEO, but the reply probably came from someone who did not know what they were talking about. You can change to an Edge Up, if you wish, but that is the least favourable option for just about everyone.

Hi can I ask - does everyone get their cash back on the same date?  Mine has always been 13th of the month along with the £2 fee - I haven't received mine this morning.

I do have a current account switch to nationwide which I set up to happen after the cashback was paid, but now wondering if that's effected it?
That sounds exactly what has happened to us, it seems as though their system just cancels the cashback automatically as soon as a switch is put in place.

Have you been charged the monthly fee as we were?

That's why I asked the question - to see whether anyone else had received  a similar answer or whether it was a rogue reply.

@Sunshine2468 I suggest that you or anyone else similarly affected by non payment of cashback, call the Santander complaints team on their direct line 0800 171 2171 to resolve the matter.

My complaint originally went via Customer Services and wasn't actioned resulting in a further complaint about that on-line, and culminating in a phone call to the complaints team this morning and a promise of £50 compensation paid into another account by the end of the day...assuming that happens and doesn't end up generating another complaint I'm happy.

Edit; the £50 complaint resolution was paid to me by 4pm today.

Not read the whole thread so apologies if this has been mentioned but Zopa pay 2% cashback on direct debits up to a max of £30 per year (£1500 worth of DDRs). Might be an easy option to use that to recoup some of the loss.

Very disappointing. I am a Santander mortgage customer as well so I get nearly £9 of cashback per month currently.

Don't know what Santander are playing at here. I'll just switch away without this incentive and I guess lots of others will too. And its more likely my next mortgage isn't with them either. They obviously don't want the business.

Santander resisted offering switching bonuses and was losing business despite the good deals that they offered. They have copied the others and that seems to be working. They are now copying the others by cutting the perks on their accounts. The banks seem to value the disloyal customers of other banks more than they do their own loyal customers.

Been looking at this and decided I'll just let mine move to the everyday account as its not going to be worth paying an account fee as the cashback has changed so I will get less cashback so not worth it for me.

Might as well use CASS to switch to a current account paying a signing on bonus then ?

If you use your 123 Lite for the Yougov bribe, you might not be able to replace it if you transfer to another bank.

If you don’t know what I am on about, don’t worry, it won’t affect you then
