Gosh thank you all so very much! I’m absolutely touched by your kind thoughts and words @spendless @fionasndphil @jwil@joedenise@dawnybabes@debtfreewannabe321 @pink_fluffy_sparkles @1stTimer and @vampirotoothus thank you for all of your positive thoughts before and after. I didn’t realise so many people read my diary! I’m so grateful for you all.

So it has sunk in a little, I was told today I was very lucky to keep my job. So I am very grateful. But the lord giveth and the lord taketh away. OH got given 3 weeks work yesterday for September, and then today they promptly got taken away when the company decided to postpone projects. So OH is not in a good place is very miserable and narky and although he’s trying I’m struggling to know what to do with him.

theres always sone sort of drama going on! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Is that the same place you work at missy?

It is bad form to offer work one day and withdraw the next. Everywhere should have been told there was a recruitment freeze until an announcement made. Can understand your OH being grumpy over it.

Not a lot you can do to resolve it, just reassure him it's not personal.

    Hi,

I’m so sorry I’ve been MIA. Getting everyone ready and back to school was crazy and then I’ve been Away with work. But I am home now, OH managed to pick up some work but away from home, so we’ve been managing child care and work as best as possible.

But wow money has been flying out, I had to spend £2k on fixing the car, which I had to get a credit card for. Back to school expenses were astronomical. Roo has decided to learn an instrument which is great but at £20 a week is pretty steep. He also wants to join cadets which is great but is another cost, instalments for school trips are coming thick and fast and I had to pay £120 to have Roo’s phone fixed.

My head is all over the place and I’ve been flitting between eating rubbish to try and get through my really long work days. Then feeling awful about myself so I’ve been researching all health and fitness stuff and wanting to buy everything, then also spending money on things the children need.

But because I’ve been away I have spent so much money again on just living, this morning I have had a huge wake up call…. My online grocery shop got declined this morning……as there was no money in the account. I had just happily put £90 worth of food in there, I don’t even think we needed it all but that’s just what I’ve been doing. Don’t get me wrong I get paid on Wednesday so we won’t starve, but I am just carrying on the viscous cycle. I really need to get myself together and get a hold of things. Hence coming back in here and owning up to my money spending sins.

In other news May has been tested for learning difficulties but they haven’t got back to me with a result, although I have chased. And despite running the department at work single handedly, both here and abroad. I am yet to be promoted or get a pay rise….

Anyway that’s enough do me rabbiting on. I’m going to see what I can do with the food I have in.
