I won’t get in more and more debt and go into a hole. I’ve coped before and I will again.
Had a nice day out with my mum at a local market. Oh, I forgot. I bought a Florence and Fred blouse for £3.75 at a charity shop. So I spent £30 today. Better not spend tomorrow.Credit card 1891

Spent £4.90 on a coffee for me and my mother. I had to bamboozle her into going for one with me. It was worth every penny.

I really need to change my relationship with money and spending. I am spending more than I earn and this is not sustainable.Credit card 1891

£11.00 on a t-shirt on Thrift@, a second hand resellers. I like their punky style as I’m a bit punky sometimes. You can get anything you like on V(nted but sometimes I think people just buy stuff thinking that’s ok, they can always sell it on. I’m trying to use V)nted less. Plus the postage is eyewater. Everything is a bargain (think £3 for a t-shirt) but then by the time it’s come out of your account with fees and postage it’s about £8.
I also watch my carbon footprint but don’t tend to count transport except cars and planes as carbon. Completely irrational.Credit card 1891

I enjoy shopping and it calms me down. Am going to try and replace shopping with tidying and sorting.
I like to shop as a reward. I know it’s sad but if I do something and I think, that was a big achievement, I take myself out for Chinese food on my own and enjoy it. Or when I have finally done something I have been needing to do for ages, like download a spend tracker, I buy a t-shirt to say, well done.
Of course this can quickly turn into an excuse for shopping. “I’ve had a hard day, I deserve this”. I think that’s what happened with me and coffee.Credit card 1891

Have just had the best holiday at my mums. Of course, there were parts of it that were stressful as it is being with people as you get older. I won’t be back until September as in the summer it’s very busy and social where she lives which is not me! I feel rested and recuperated.Credit card 1891
