Have you found the oats in Lidl yet?? Their wine is pretty good value too!!
Was, silently, thinking of you today...in a positve way. I may add!!! Life moves on, what goes around comes around and out of bad things come good things...I don't want to sound trite but those 2 sayings have helped keep up my spirit over the past few yrs!

When I look back on stuff, they add up too!!!
  • Hi Anna
Wishing you all the luck in the world, you are a inspiration.
And I loved your 'she went flying out my house with a foot up her !!! ' and your 'mattress burning'!
Give a man a fish and you will feed him for a day, teach him how to fish and you will feed him for a lifetime

Finally dealing with my whopping debt!

  • Not been around for a few days AOL wouldnt accept my payment proposals so alas we parted company:p :p
Im using my friend Malcolms computer scoffing his choccie biscuits and drinking his coffee whilst posting, well we DFW`s have to be resourceful.
Hope you are all well, am off to check the other posters diaries and see whats been going on.
Went to CAB money advisor yesterday, am in the process of sending out my offers of monthly payments, and
awaiting there acceptance/dismissal whatever they decide its better so much a month than nothing, this is a step forward on my debt ftee journey.
Also awaiting the CSA`s new amount now Im only working part time, and also WTCredits new assessment as well:eek:   thats going to be far less than I get now, need to be careful now financial wise.Has there ever been a post entitled Living On Fresh Air For A Week type thing, my storecupboards bare and my freezers defrosted and my brains gone into denail about meal planning from absolute scratch. I need to get a basic storcupboard sorted out any ideas??? whats the basics you couldnt do without.
I also need to post my revised SOA and check out cheaper elec/gas providers.
So apologies for a lenghty delay in any replies to your posts but I am still around:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :T :j :j

  • Hi Anna - I have no helpful advice but am really glad to see you back on here:T,I had looked out for you and wondered where you had gone because I wanted to see how you were progressing.

S*d AOL anyway - they are a nightmare to deal with if you are trying to part company from them so you are better off out of it. And hey, if you have a friend who will keep you in biscuits while you MSE then so much the better - now, where can I find one of those??

    Good luck

  • You have already had this already but making food go the extra mile is a core business of the 'moneysaving old style' forum. they can feed two people for 50p and stretch a meal further than anyone else I know. They can give you advice on storecupboards and may well be able to make a meal out of the thin air you have talked about.

  • thanks poor and d am counting my blessings since Thursday, have you followed motheroftwins thread makes my problems sink into insignificance...the Old Style Boards wonderful Ive compiled a brill meal plan well within my projected food budget. Im off to do an extra shift as i have a contribution to make somewhere and all helps.
Hope your well, now Ive got the meals/food sorted all I need now is to get my head round my new strict financial circumstances , I know I can do it but having lived my life comfy for years and been lucky to have done so I find it hard sometimes, but the reduced financial situation and the peace of mind that Im my own person far outeweighs the factthat I cant afford that choccie eclair that keeps waving to me from Greggs bakers window lol
Keep well all, will post again later

Hi Anna - I have been reading your thread with interest. am so sorry to hear about your prediciment. I hope things get sorted soon.

just a quick question - you dont have to answer if you dont want to - but why did you leave the family home in the first place - why didnt you kick him out as he was the one 'getting it on' with your best friend. especially since his adultry was cited in your divorce?

a friend of mine went through something simular last year where her husband (now ex) refused to leave their marital home (he chained him self to the toilet!) and the courts made him leave - he was the one who caused the marriage breakdown. just a thought.

smile and the whole world smiles with you.
