Oops haven't posted for a while, kept meaning to but never quite got round to it.
Have made a £100 overpayment to the mortgage- money from the overpayments account, 1poll money, money back car insurance and cashback from ch@se account.
Roofer has now been and it cost less than expected so paid the rest of the money I had taken out for this to the credit card to pay off the sofa. Unfortunately the reason why it cost less is that more work is needed on the roof longer term so the chimney was just patched up with a view to sorting it properly in the future with the rest. Not something that we need to immediately get done but something to think about in the future. The roofer will send over a quote at some point and we'll get some other quotes too. But in the meantime, I'll start putting some money aside towards this.
Payday is on Friday and it's a better than usual one as I will get paid holiday average, always a wee bonus. Need to start making a budget for that.
Nothing much else to report other than I've been looking for a wee plant for the bathroom windowsill and found one today for £2.50, happy with thatMortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.7.25 - £106,653.66

Quick post before bed to say that I made a £212.99 overpayment to the mortgage on payday plus managed to put £700 into a savings account towards the roof and £100 into the emergency fund
Definitely won't manage this every month as I only get holiday average once a year but nice to be able to do.
Mortgage currently sitting at £106,653.66.
Must try and get in the habit of posting more regularly to keep myself on track.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.7.25 - £106,653.66

Currently walking to work - exercise and saving on petrol is a win-win. Thought I'd do a quick post to try and get myself back into the habit of posting more regularly.
Yesterday would have been a NSD but decided to get breakfast from the bakery near work as other staff were getting. Not something we do often so a nice wee treat. £2.35 spent on a bacon roll.
Today will also be a spend day as really need to do a proper food shop.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.7.25 - £106,653.66

I’d say that’s a £2.35 investment in team building for a good work day.
