£15 spent on a meal out with a friend yesterday and today has been a NSD

Yesterday I spent £7.90 on sugar, granola and some salad bits to go with tea. Had planned to go for a run after work but felt really low on energy so it didn't happen.
Day off today so heading to the allotment for a few hours with OH this morning, then popping round to a friend's house for a cuppa and catch-up and then out for tea and the new Downton Abbey film with another friend later.
So definitely not a NSD but the cinema tickets were free and we're going somewhere fairly cheap for tea so hopefully not too spendy. Will need to get some petrol as well.

£53.46 spent on petrol and £17.50 spent on a meal out. Had a really lovely day.
Now have £9 left until payday on Monday which should be do-able. Other than some NS snacks for tomorrow night, we shouldn't need anything else.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.9.25 - £105,664.31

Between NS snacks and some cheese bought today, there was £1.66 left from the £9 so that's been moved to the mortgage overpayment account plus 34p cashback and £10 that OH gave me - now sitting at £34.65 so not too long to go until the next £50 overpayment

Payday today
£100 emergency fund
£100 roof savings
£100 Christmas savings
Due to less overtime last month, I haven't been able to put as much to savings as usual but grateful that I have been able to save something.

Thanks INOD - it feels too overwhelming when I think about the total mortgage balance but focussing on each £50 overpayment makes it feel more manageable.
Not much to report from today - spent most of work feeling not great, not ill as such, just not feeling well if that makes sense so very relaxing evening on the sofa. It was a NSD and tomorrow should be too as I'm on a double shift.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.9.25 - £105,664.31

Yesterday was a NSD as expected. Today should be as well. Got breakfast and lunch to take to work and taken something out the freezer for tea. Plan is to do a big food shop tomorrow as we are running low on quite a few things.
Mortgage payment has gone out this morning including usual £12.99 overpayment (rounding up to £700).
Interest has been added on to various accounts including £5.12 for the roof savings which is a nice little boostMortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.9.25 - £105,664.31

Interest on savings is always good news !
I've just had an isa mature - 5.3% which was fixed for two years.
Was lovely while it lasted . . . :-)

Ended up spending £5.99 on the 1st as I was out with work and spotted the instant coffee I like for work at a really good price (over £2 cheaper than a normal supermarket). Will need to remember that for next time.
Thursday was big food shop day so spent £73.59 which also included a stock up of toilet rolls, cleaning supplies and some toiletries.
Yesterday I got my eyebrows done (£20) and today I've spent £3.60 on bacon, rolls and bread. Went up to Icyland to see if they had any good bargains on bread so £1.60 for 2 loaves of bread and a pack of rolls. Bread has gone in the freezer and bacon rolls were had for lunch.
On NS again tonight and tomorrow which I can't really be bothered with. Hopefully it will be quieter than Thursday NS and I'll manage to catch up with some paperwork bits I need to get done. Really struggling with work at the moment - I think I said previously that someone new had started and I'm finding it difficult working with them, they have a very different approach to how I work which isn't necessarily a bad thing but they seem to faff around looking very busy without really achieving anything. It's starting to impact on how I feel about work and I actively dread the days when I know that they are on shift. Thankfully they are on a temporary contract so at least I know there is an end date. Ah well I guess one benefit of NS is lone working
It's still very windy out there but our only casualty of Storm Amy is one of my hanging baskets. The whole bracket has come out of the wall so OH will put it back up at some point. I think the hanging basket is beyond saving but since it came with the house and was a bit manky looking, it's no great loss.
Have managed to complete a few surveys today so waiting for the money to become available to cash out and then will add to the mortgage overpayment account.
Better go and get some food and then a shower before work. Pizza for tea tonight, my favouriteMortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.9.25 - £105,664.31
