Thanks LadyWithAPlan and it definitely did Boodedoo
Was working today as I had things arranged that couldn't be rescheduled but have taken the rest of the week off. NSD today
Worked out budget for next month which includes increased home insurance and life/income protection insurance which I've never had before. Not sure how much council tax will be yet but have moved up from band A to C so will definitely be more. Had a look at my mortgage documents and I think the first payment will come out on 1st June and will be a double payment so have put aside £800 to cover this.

A spendy day today but all budgeted for. £195 spent on a hedge trimmer, new battery for lawn mower and steam mop. £70 spent on various bits for the new house - duvet, towels, washing up bowl, etc. £15.95 spent on food shopping.
Took a car load of stuff to the tip so flat is beginning to look clearer. Moving van is booked for next Friday so that gives us plenty of time to get everything packed up.
Got my letter from mortgage company so the first payment will be £1414.24 on 1st June and then usual payment of £687.01 each month after that. Got in touch with the council about change of address for council tax but it could take up to 90 days for it to be processed so I will put aside some money each month to go towards this.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.7.25 - £106,653.66

Contacted the energy supplier for the new house today and gave them the meter readings we took. Took a few more boxes of things over and the car is filled up with bits to either be dropped off at the charity shop/tip tomorrow.
A spendy day again as bought a TV unit, patio set and bed frame (£295 spent). All budgeted for as had put aside £1000 for furniture for new house. Our current flat is furnished with mostly donations from friends/family and charity shop buys so none of it really goes together and is looking pretty tatty now so we had agreed to get some new items when we moved.
Cashed out £7.95 from PA todayhave renamed one of my savings accounts as 'mortgage overpayments' and will stick any survey earnings, cashback, etc into it and will make an overpayment when it hits £50.

Another spendy day - £123 spent on bedroom curtains, kitchen bin and bedding plus £2.95 on croissants and orange juice for a nice breakfast tomorrow morning. Think that's all the spending needed on things for the new house for now - fingers crossed anyway!
£1.02 added to the mortgage overpayments account from ch@se account cashback.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.7.25 - £106,653.66

Found you and so glad to see that your small and often approach has carried forward to the mortgage. Sometimes I think that we do ourselves no favours by having a specific word for just another type of debt. I’m impressed by the purchase of a patio set. You really want to benefit from outdoor time over the summer.Best of luck with this next stepMortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Yesterday, spent £11.08 on food, shouldn't need to buy any more food before we move. Also spent £25 on a replacement v5c document for the car, was hoping to find it when we've been clearing out the flat but unfortunately not.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.7.25 - £106,653.66

bought some stuff for work but will get that re-imbursed.
£3.60 added to mortgage overpayments account - interest from current account which is way higher than usual due to deposit sitting in it for a couple of weeks.
Have got a £10 @sda voucher which needs used before the end of the month so will use it towards food shopping at some point and then transfer £10 from food budget to the mortgage overpayments account.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.7.25 - £106,653.66
