Thanks beanie - lovely relaxing day so far. OH has gone to visit a friend, I'm currently out for a walk and then plan to watch a Christmas film once I get home.
Did a few surveys this morning and cashed out £5 so once that arrives in payp@l, I'll add to the roof savings/debt.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.4.26 - £103,723.68 (4.4% paid)

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas 🎄
We had a nice day - ate lots of yummy food, went for a walk, watched some films, video chatted with family and got some lovely presents.
Back to work later today so just having a relaxed morning before getting organised to go.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.4.26 - £103,723.68 (4.4% paid)

Walking to work at the moment - want to try and get into the habit of doing this more as it's really not far. Some days I do need the car for work but on the days I don't, I need to get in the habit of walking as it saves money on fuel costs and gets me a bit more exercise so win win.
£2.59 spent in the local shop on milk and yoghurt.
Had a bit of a general chat about financial goals for next year with OH and we've agreed to sit down properly in the next week to make a proper plan of action.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.4.26 - £103,723.68 (4.4% paid)

£11.74 spent on a few needed bits from the supermarket - cold and flu tablets for OH as he's feeling under the weather, tissues, juice and cereal. Have very little left in the food budget but almost at payday and the only thing we need would be some steak and pastry to make steak pie on new years day.
Opened a cah00ts savings account through TCB so will hopefully get £25 cashback for it and it will be a good account to stash my emergency fund in.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.4.26 - £103,723.68 (4.4% paid)

Walking to work again this morning 🥶
Got an email to say the new savings account is now open so I'll transfer some money over to that later. Also got an email to say the cashback has tracked

Today was a really nice shift at work and a NSD
£10 transferred to new savings account, will transfer more once I get the log in details.
£5 survey cash out arrived so has been transferred to the roof savings/debt.
My ch@se round-up account will reset in 7 days time, always feels a bit like free money as I don't notice the small amounts leaving my account throughout the year. It's around £240 so will put £100 into the roof savings/debt and the rest into the car fund. Road tax is due in April so that will cover a good chunk of that.
Payday on Tuesday and haven't made a budget yet so will do that tomorrow night.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.4.26 - £103,723.68 (4.4% paid)

Not such a nice shift at work today but only 3 more days to go and then I'm off on annual leave
It's been a NSD
£5 @mazon voucher redeemed from my life insurance provider so have moved £5 to the roof savings/debt.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.4.26 - £103,723.68 (4.4% paid)

Budget done for next month
£300 roof savings/debt
£100 credit card
£100 emergency fund
£50 Christmas savings
£100 car fundMortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.4.26 - £103,723.68 (4.4% paid)
Mortgage overpayments so far - £927.90

Payday today so £100 paid off credit card
now at £4960, 3.9% paid. If I pay off £100 each month until the money transfer period is over, the balance will be £3660 so goal for next year is to save this. I've already got a lot of this saved but ideally I'd like to save the full amount and then the savings already there can go towards the longer term work needed on the roof. If I manage to put away £300 per month towards it, then that will cover it. This might not always be doable depending on how much overtime I do.
So financial goals for next year are
- mortgage under £100,000
- roof savings £3660
-.emergency fund £3000Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.4.26 - £103,723.68 (4.4% paid)
Mortgage overpayments so far - £927.90
Debt 16.11.25 - £5160 1.4.26 - £4660 (9.7% paid)
Roof savings - £1287.38/£3660 (35.2% saved)5
